An initiative of Lung Foundation Australiaand Shine a Light on Lung Cancer Community Fundraising Campaign.

Background

Lung Foundation Australia (LFA) is a national charity that aims to reduce the impact of lung disease in Australia through Awareness, Support, Advocacy, Education and Research. Acutely aware of the need to extend research beyond conventional clinical and basic science pathways, this opportunity is to focus on supportive care research in a commitment from the Lung Foundation’s Lung Cancer National Program to reduce the impact of lung disease and improving patient outcomes for those affected by the disease.

Shine a Light on Lung Cancer Community Fundraising Campaign:This award has been made possible through the generous support and ongoing community fundraising campaign - Shine a Light on Lung Cancer. Through this campaign, funds raised are made available to researchers to undertake important lung cancer research that aims to improve outcomes for those living with the disease. Lung Foundation Australia would like to acknowledge and thank the tireless work of the community who supported and donated to the Shine a Light on Lung Cancer events. This has allowed us to increase our commitment to fund vital lung cancer research and initiate this NEW AWARD.
