a)INSURANCE & CLAIMS ( 27TH February 2017 from 1400 hrs to 1800 hrs)
The purpose& objective of this program topic is to increase awareness and stress the importance of Insurance and Security and handling of Claims in Container Shipping.
The objective is :
a)How the Shipping Insurance Mechanism works
b)The role of Insurance underwriters, their syndicate and brokers
c)The role of Lloyds agents
d)The importance of P & I clubs
e)Handling claims effectively
f)The increasing significance of Security
Eligibility: Senior and middle level managers in the container shipping Industry.
Course fee:- Rs.3500/- plus 15% S.Tax= Rs.4025/= ( inclusive of snack/tea)
b)“ HAZMAT AWARENESS”( 28TH February 2017 from 0930 hrs to 1730 hrs)
Purpose:- The purpose of taking this subject is to enhanceAWARENESS and generate a high degree of consciousness amongst participants regarding the danger associated with handling hazmat, carriage, storage and transportation and introduce them to safe and correct methods of dealing with it.
It will cover General familiarization, structure and contents of MSDS sheets, IMDG CODE & supplement,Basic Procedure for safe handling of Chemicals, Marking and labeling, Placard and segregating requirements, Emergency procedures in case of a fire or a spill, Practical exercises involving MSDS sheets and IMDG Code etc.
Eligibility: Executives/Middle level Managers.
Course Fee: Rs.3000/- +15% S.Tax = Rs.3450/= (includes Lunch/snacks / Tea)
Organization which registers four or more participants for the program will be given 10% discount on the Total Invoice value.

Master Mariner with over 16 years of Sea-going experience with SCI and Essar Shipping.
Subsequently held various Senior positions with Shipping lines such as DB MADAN Group, Senator Lines, J.M.BAXI and GAC Shipping etc.
He is an active member of the ICS Chennai and accredited Trainer of Trainees by ICS London, in their Industry education programs and seminars. Presently visiting faculty for the Academy of Logistics Knowledge and external examiner in the panel of IMU-Chennai for their MBA Shipping & Logistics course.
