Project Description:
Global Technology Operations Service (GTOS) is Accounts Payable system which takes care of Merchants affiliation with AMerican EXpress, maintain financial and non-financial characteristics like Name, Address, Bank details, Terms and Conditions with AMerican EXpress etc. GTOS also takes care of submission of transactions submitted by merchants to AMerican EXpress for their card member spending. GTOS further distributes the submission to different payable systems like ESP (Establishment Service Payable), Merchant Services International (Genesis) etc. These payable systems then do the pricing as per Term and Condition between AMerican EXpress and merchant and make the payment to the merchants.
Currently leading the Global Merchant Payments projects for Genesis (supports countries in the EMEA, J/APA, IDC, and LAC regions) and ESP (supports the U.S., Canada, Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands). A global Accounts Payable system with functionality that covers every aspect of an SE’s (Service Establishment) relationship with AMerican EXpress.
AMerican EXpress was supporting five Account Payable (A/P) systems around the world. Those systems didn’t always support the various and emerging AMEX products. Genesis became the international solution.
Genesis and ESP conducts daily processing, which backs up to the point where the Card member uses The American Express Card at a Service Establishment. Genesis is currently being used in most countries throughout the world. All international markets were completed in June, 1999.
