PRESS RELEASE

Amica has a new look.

The only monthly Italian fashion magazine.

Available from newsagents and in digital format.

Milan, 11 September 2013 – New graphics, new content and new photographers. Amica, the only monthly Italian fashion magazine, comes out this month and is available from newsagents and in digital format with a completely revamped style.

“An Italian Amica with an international vision that defies convention. An Amica for all extraordinary normal women”explains Emanuela Testori, editor of Amica,“an elegant, clean cut, contemporary way to recount the world the way it is and the way we want it to be. An Amica that reconfirms its trendsetting, irreverent nature where every article is a question of style.”

The RCS published magazine, which first came out on a weekly basis in 1962 and became a monthly publication 40 years later, has been redesigned using four key adjectives.

-TRENDSETTING: intercepting and interpreting emerging styles by proposing new trends and abandoning conformity.

-VISIONARY: looking beyond to imagine a different world.

-INTERNATIONAL: observing, discovering and experiencing the world.

-IRREVERENT: having the courage to break down boundaries.

The magazine is divided into four sections:

  • VISIONS: this part is devoted to the latest news. Interviews, reports, reflections: all the articles have a prospective approach that recounts celebrities (the singer, Anna Calvi, and the designer, India Mahdavi, in the first issue), stories (the touch generation) and experiences (eco-sustainable fashion) that shape the future.
  • FASHION and BEAUTY: featuring a type of woman who is stylish, relaxed, fascinating, sensual and never banal. Naturally elegant.
  • And finally LIFESTYLE: a light-hearted section of leisure to discover and share the great or simple luxuries that make life more enjoyable - travel, spas, food and wine as well as technology and what the stars have to say.

It is 100% feminine including its typeface which is evocatively called Mrs Eaves.

It is elegant and inspirational thanks to its lighter graphic design that contrasts with the white areas and the initial capital letters.

It is contemporary in its use of photography.

“Emanuela Testori’s project” said Raimondo Zanaboni, General Manager of Advertising at RCS MediaGroup“has been received by the advertising community with the same respect that has been shown for the work of our new Editor for some time”.

“Since June”Zanaboni continued“we have had confirmation of the trust shown by all the main fashion brands who have decided to play a part in our new editorial project right from the very first issues. This has led to an increase in advertising which, although the situation is still very difficult, is much better than the market average in this sector.”

The Amica campaign with the claim “Amica: Visions of Fashion” will be advertised on all RCS Group media (publications, web, radio, TV).
