From President Ann:
Dear Pilots,
March is here and spring is around the corner. Daylight Savings Time starts March 14th.
We had to change our March 11 meeting place to American National Bank (downtown) I hope all of you will come to this important meeting. The Executive Board will meet at 5:30 and our regular meeting will be at 6:30. There will not be a meal or a program as the SHARE PILOT meeting on the 18th will be our program. I hope you are inviting at least 3 (or more) prospective members. I feel it is going to be a fun night!! Remember the finger foods you are suppose to bring and be at Roman Eagle at 5:45. Tell your guests to be there at 6:30.
See you all Thursday night!!
Have a great spring!!
~Ann~
From President Elect Bobbi:
The Nominating Committee will be calling in the next few weeks. Please say “YES” when asked. I need all of you involved in some way next year. I hope that our SHARE PILOT will bring in a few new members.
We got some GREAT publicity by sponsoring a basket for the Danville Speech and HearingCenter fundraiser. We may even get one new member because of it!!
I had Pilot International send us 30 information pamphlets; make sure your guests leave with one.
We need to select delegates for District Convention in Bristol in April, at this club meeting. I hope many of you can go as Governor Faith and Secretary Dianne will lead the convention.
If you have not seen a fellow Pilot member lately, give them a call and let them know that you are thinking about them. Let’s get everybody back involved with our club!
See you Thursday!
~Bobbie~
We are all so proud of Michele’s husband, Josh, for the awards he received at the Danville Police Recognition Ceremony. We even got to see Michele and the newest member of their family in the audience.
Way to go Officer Josh!!
Bobbie and Bruce had a great time in Las Vegas. It was cool and stores were bringing out the coats for those tourists who came in only shorts and shirts.
Robin will not be able to attend our March 18th meeting. She will be at a Reading Conference in VA Beach.
Bazaar:
The Kansas Pilot, who makes our aprons, is going to make us some totes or pocketbooks! Just ask people to make a couple of things or bake something for you for Bazaar. It makes things easier on you and people like to feel they have contributed without overwhelming themselves. Some members that have asked have not had anyone say “No” so try it, just ask!!
Keep your eyes open for sales and the clearance of things Bobbie could use for wreaths. $25 of the $50 we gave for the basket for Speech and Hearing came from a wreath she sold 2 months after Bazaar. So be thinking and planning ahead for Bazaar, it will be here before you know it!
Anytime you have news to share please contact Jane or Bobbie and we will put it in the GANGPLANK!
