JOB DESCRIPTION
Position title :Summer Intern

(A) Compliance Risk Management & Reporting
Roles and Responsibilities:
Risk assessment
- Assist in analyzing risk assessment results for 14 countries
- Assist is preparing risk dashboard for management purpose
- Assist in maintenance of regulatory development / progress
- Conduct research on compliance risk-related issues
Program evaluation
- Assist in the design of compliance scorecards (program evaluation)
- Assist in data collection to measure and analyze KPI’s (program evaluation)
- Conduct other compliance related research e.g. benchmarking, best practices
Market conduct
- Assist in consolidating monthly market conduct statistics and perform analysis.
- Handle team administrative tasks
(B) Compliance Policy & Risk
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Perform administrative support to the department including filing, photocopy, order office supplies/ stationary, fax documents, distribute mails, arranging courier service, hardware maintenance (printers, copiers) and other administrative duties.
- Compile regular and ad hoc compliance reports to the Center of Excellence team.
- Ensure accuracy and completeness of the reports.
- Assist in the review and vetting of policy and compliance framework related materials in accordance with pre-established approval protocols.
- Assist in preparation of presentations, development materials and management reports.
- Complete other duties assigned by the VP/ AVP and other Center of Excellenceteam members.
(C)Compliance Risk management & reporting
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Assist in reviewing the shared folders to identify documents/files to be migrated to SharePoint
- Assist in reviewing the SharePoint folder structure/access rights for improvement
- Perform actual migration of documents/files to SharePoint
- Work with Group Compliance (and possibly Local Compliance staff) to identify any additional information to be placed SharePoint
- Review the present Compliance Intranet, suggest and deploy enhancement
(D) Investment Compliance
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Assist in investment compliance daily monitoring, including preliminary review of exception report.
- Assist in transactions and portfolio holdings screening against OFAC SDN List.
- Assist in monthly portfolio manual confirmations process to ensure the timely submission of proper documents by business teams.
- Assist in training to newly joined investment access persons on the PTA functions and Investment Code of Ethics. E.g., to organize training session, distribute training material and to ensure submission of compliance certifications etc..
- Assist in PTA administrative tasks. E.g. collection of the initial, quarterly and annual certifications of investment access persons in PTA.
- Assist in ad hoc investment compliance related projects.
- Assist in the maintenance of investment breach log sheets.
- Handle team administrative tasks.
Job Requirements:
- Second or Third Year university student in Accounting, Legal or Business Administration in a local or international university.
- Prior experience as an intern with multi-national a plus. Previous working experience in the legal and/ or compliance function is a definite advantage.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills.
- Good written and spoken English and Chinese
- Sound computer applications skills, including using advanced functions of Powerpoint, MS Word and Excel. Ability to use data extraction tools is a definite asset.
