This programme is meant to help people improve in their area of influence within their communities. Ambassadors for change will be focusing mainly on inspiring children and youth for greatness. Leading them to become tomorrow‘s leaders by instilling a positive attitude to the above mentioned targeted groups, shaping them and preparing them for challenges which adulthood and the future bring.
Masiye Life Centre through Ambassador 4 change will facilitate the following;
- Career guidance & skill development
- Training in income generating programmes
- Clean up campaigns
- Basic counselling
- Scholarships for children especially those who are disenfranchised
- Re-integration of profiled youth
- Substance abuse and Recovering addicts
- Delinquents
- Victim empowerment
- Crime watch
- Sport academy
- Life marathons [run to success]
- Status core Encourage get tested ,know your status ,take responsibility campaign
- Interracial multicultural interaction which may involve helping each other with course work for those doing matric and other courses will highly esteemed and encouraged
Our focus on Ambassadors 4 Change initiative will be the following
- To inspire youth in being work oriented
- To be networkers in order to match the ever-changing trends of communication in society in order to improve Relational skills
- Team work will be encouraged
- A youth action group(Fun, Food and Friends) to be established –its activities will include
Playing games or watching sports
Arts and Drama(theatre)
Watching inspirational movies
Fundraising events for example Bake and sale
The plan of this initiative is to infiltrate all sectors of the community, through the creation of action groups hopefully with support from these sectors.
Youth against stigma Creation of a youth empowerment group aimed at recruiting young people equipping them with the necessary knowledge that will help in the staging of awareness to their peers. This initiative we are looking at the possible chances of reducing the rate of youth indulging in irresponsible sexual activities, alcohol and drug abuse consequently, instilling a sense of purposeful living through self- care and an education first attitude.
