am Language Studio – Shared Apts

am Language Studio is committed to giving students from all over the world a truly International experience when learning English in Malta. For this reason staying in a shared apartment with other students from different parts of the world is an integral part of YOUR Language stay. Yet living with other people can only work if there are standards and a level of behaviour that is sensitive to the environment and more importantly to the people sharing the accommodation.

For this reason am Language Studio binds students staying in a shared apartment to clear guidelines which need to be respected by students choosing this accommodation alternative. Please read the points listed below carefully and ask a member of staff should you have any difficulty with any of the points listed below.

·  Students staying in shared accommodation must follow an adult course at am Language Studio for the duration of their stay and must be a minimum of 18 years old.

·  Students may book a shared room ( Max 3 pax) or a single room

·  Students booking a shared room will be placed with a student of any nationality and of the same sex.

·  Only students who book a shared room together will be allowed to share a room with a student of a different sex.

·  An apartment may have1 – 2 – 3 bedrooms. Each bed room will accommodate a max of 3 persons unless specifically indicated in the apartment profile.

·  The level of accommodation will be as indicated in the apartment profile sent to you upon confirmation.

·  Each student will receive a key and will be responsible for returning the key at the end of the stay. If a key is lost it must be replaced at the students’ expense.

·  Students are expected to keep their rooms clean and tidy

·  Any valuables are the responsibility of the student. am Language studio will not take responsibility for any personal items said to have been missing from a shared apartment. Students are advised not to carry valuables into a shared apartment and any loss of personal items including money is at the students’ risk.

·  Students may under no circumstance invite people who are not booked with am Language Studio to spend the night.

·  Students taking this accommodation alternative must leave a copy of their passport and a Lm100.00 deposit with am Language Studio for the duration of their stay. Only after a student is checked out will the deposit be returned.

·  No work, alterations or maintenance is to be carried out by a student staying in a shared apartment.

·  Students must keep the apartment clean and tidy. Furniture is to be respected and maintained.

·  Breakages or broken equipment must be reported in writing to am Language Studio as soon as it is identified.

·  The entrance to the apartment and the common areas are to be respected at all times. Noise or any disturbances are strictly forbidden.

·  Upon entry into the apartment students are to inspect the apartment. Should there be anything that is broken they are to report the details to am Language Studio within 24 hrs from entering the apartment.

·  am Language Studio will be entitled to inspect the apartment whenever necessary.

·  All fees are to be fully paid in advance.

·  Students are directly responsible for the furniture in their room and jointly responsible for damages that take place in the apartment but outside the room.

·  Water and electricity charges will be taken every week and divided by the number of students in the apartment.

am Language studio is committed to offering quality Residential Apartments to students following a course at am Language Studio. Students will receive an Apartment profile when their application is confirmed by our letter of acceptance. Should YOU encounter any problems with our choice of apartment am Language Studio will solve the problem within 48 hrs from the receipt of a written complaint. Should we be unable to solve the problem within this 48 hr period we will do everything possible to change the students accommodation immediately.
