KISD Freshman/JV Volleyball Tournament
September 18th20st, 2014
Site:Thurs. Sept. 18th, check your bracket for the site.
Saturday, Sept. 20st, 9th grade will be at KleinCollinsand JV at Klein
Format:Matches are best two out of three. Rally scoring will be used in each game. Games are to 25 with a 30 point cap with the exception of the third game, which will be to 15, no cap.
CHAMPIONSHIP Games: 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and Consolation will be 3rd Game to 25.
Match Times:We will play matches early to keep the tournament running on time. Please be prepared to play early if the match preceding yours runs ahead of schedule.
Official Book:The home team will be on the top of the bracket. Official book keeper will be provided.
Linesman:KISD Schools will be providing linesmen in each of the matches.
Clock:Will be provided by each KISD school throughout the tournament.
Balls:Balls WILL be provided.
Warm-Up:2-4-4-1: 2 minute ball handling (captain’s meeting); 4 minutes net time
for each team; one minuteshared serving. Please note the 4- minute net time may be shared if the tournament is running behind schedule. If this becomes necessary, the officials will notify each team.
Admission:Adults: $3
Students: $2
Hospitality:A hospitality room will be provided for coaches, officials, and bus drivers only.
Concessions:Concession stand will be provided for athletes and parents.
Gym Rules:No food or drinks allowed in the gyms. Please stress this to your team. Only water is allowed on the bench.
Entry Fee:$150.00 if in the Greater Houston Area School District Entry Fee Agreement (see
attachment) and $200.00 if not.
