Nomination Form

Eligibility
  1. Alumni are eligible for nomination to the Alumni Hall of Fame at the beginning of five years after graduating from the Australian National University (ANU).
  2. Alumni must have conferred of one or more degree programs administered by ANU College of Business and Economics (CBE). Studies which were completed under former embodiments of CBE or its Schools, for instance, the Faculty of Economics and Commerce or TheNational Graduate School of Management, are also eligible.
  3. Nominations may, in some circumstances, be made posthumously.
  4. Nominee’s must be of good character and demonstrate admirable personal attributes.

Who can make a nomination?
Nominations can be submitted by an ANU alumnus, ANU staff member, ANU student or by the general public. Alumni may also self-nominate.
Nomination process
Nominations must be submitted by Friday, 27 September 2013using the Alumni Hall of Fame Nomination Form and be supported by:
  1. A current CV/bio of the nominee.
  2. Statement addressing the selection criteria below.
  3. A current colour head and shoulders photo of the nominee (high resolution jpeg or tiff).

Conditions of nomination
  • Nominations are due by 5pm on Friday, 27 September 2013. Late nominations will not be accepted.
  • Successful alumniwill be required to accept their nomination in writing within 7 business days of being notified by the College.
  • By accepting the nomination, nominee’s consent to the use of voice, image and biographical information for promotional use by the College.

Presentation of award
  • Alumni Hall of Fame inductees will be presented at the 2014 Alumni Hall of Fame Induction Dinner.
  • Nominators of successful candidates will receive invitation to the induction dinner.
  • The selection committee’s decision is final and approved by the College Executive.

Selection criteria
In submitting your nomination, please outlinewhy the nominee should be inducted into the 2014 Alumni Hall of Fame. In your response, please address the following selection criteria:
  1. Service to the Australian National University(Nominations should outline the role of the nominee and demonstrate the impact of their contribution. Service can include, but is not limited to, volunteer or philanthropic engagement with the ANU).
  1. Service to the Australian or international community (Nominations should outline the role of the nominee and the impact of their contribution. Service can include, but is not limited to, pioneering initiatives, policy development,philanthropic engagement or community outreach).
  1. Significant professional accomplishments(Nominations should outline key career achievements, noting significant contributions to professional practice, policy or public debate in the nominee's field).
Consideration may also be given to any other factors which the Selection Committee considers to be appropriate and in line with the strategic direction and priorities of the ANU College of Business and Economics.
