Aloha Parents and Guardians of Ka Hale O Na Keiki preschool Students.
Thank you for your continued support and for choosing KHONK! As noted, due to increasing daily costs, items, programs and operations, KHONK will be raising its Preschool Tuition effective July 1, 2016. The following new tuition cost is as follows:
Full time M-F 7:00am - 5:30 pm…..$820.00
School Day M-F 7:00 am - 2:30 pm…..$790.00
Three days 7:00 am - 5:30 pm…..$590.00
Two Days 7:00 am - 5:30 pm…..$530.00
We have put a lot of thought into the increase and understand that this musthappen for KHONK to continue to operate and be successful for your keiki, our future leaders, and our community. KHONK has NOT raised its tuition since year 2000. By raising the cost of Tuition, parents and families may rest assured that we at KHONK, will be able to continue to provide a safe and nurturing and quality environment for your keiki and others. We are open year-round and have long hours to meet the needs of our families and the community, more than other Preschools. Please know that we are still affordable, given what excellent care, activities and skills provided and achieved at KHONK.
KHONK has also been advocating and advertising for families to apply for available outside scholarships and financial assistance that may be available to families to help with the costs of tuition. KHONK is also NOT responsible for the awards of these outside assistance aide. Beginning last year, we have seen an increase in families on outside sources of financial aide from sources like Pauahi Keiki Scholars, Childcare Connections and Preschool Open Doors. It is important to KHONK to help every child receive a quality education and care and that is why we strive to assist families. Please know that not all of the families may qualify and/or meet the guidelines for a scholarship. KHONK will continue to award needy families with tuition assistance from grant funding that we have secured, per approval of application, etc.If you are unsure if your child qualifies for outside assistance, please see myself for more information.
