Office 365
What is Office 365? /
  • Subscription based access to Office applications that are enabled over the Internet, commonly referred to as the “Cloud.”
  • Allows for 5 installations of software for personal use (PCs, tablets, phones, Macs, etc).
  • Can download the programs or use the “web apps.” Web apps are scaled down versions of the software.

How to login to Office 365 /
Can access the link from the Clinton Webmail page under the Faculty/Staff Log In link.
What programs are available via Web Apps?
Students email is accessible via Office 365.
Faculty email is not available via Office 365 currently. / After logging into Office 365, the web programs available are listed in tiles. More on this later.

To install Office on personal devices / After logging in, located under the tiles is the link to Install Office.

Programs available from the install / Office 2013 is the software that will be installed.

My Account
To Manage your installs /
  1. Click the icon that looks like a wheel located in the upper right corner.
  2. Click Office 365 Settings.
  3. Click My Account.
  4. In the Install status tile, click Manage desktop installs. You will see the number of installs used. You can “Deactivate” a license if your computer is no longer usable, etc.
Stay in this window for the following functions: Subscriptions, App permissions, Settings.
Subscriptions /
  1. Click View subscriptions located in the Subscriptions tile.

App Permissions /
  1. Click Change app permissionslocated in the App permissions tile.
You may not be able to revoke permissions as it may be controlled by the subscription.
Settings /
  1. Click Edit settings located in the Settings tile to customize Office 365.

  2. Click Theme to change your default theme. After selecting an option, click Save.
  3. To set your Start page, click the down arrow under Start page and select from one of the options. Click Save.
  4. You can install and manage software from this window by selecting the option under the Software section.
  5. Password, please do use this option to change your password.
Notice from this area, you can access options previously discussed on the left navigation pane.
OneDrive
What is OneDrive? / OneDrive is cloud storage available anywhere you have access to the Web. You can create folders, store documents, and share files. You can access this from any device!

Additional OneDrive Training:
Add OneDrive to Microsoft Applications / 1.Open Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, or Access.
2.Create an initial document, then click File(as if you were going to save the file), then clickAdd a Place.
3.Click Office 365 Sharepoint located on the right navigation pane.
4.Enter your complete email address and click Next.
5.Microsoft 365 confirms your account and will ask you to Sign In. Enter your email address and password.
6.Click Sign in. You will now see OneDrive – Clinton Community College. Anything you save in this area will be available to you any time you access OneDrive. (Student will need to do this every time they access a college computer as we use DeepFreeze to reload them every time the computers are rebooted.)
What is Yammer? / Yammer is a social networking tool used by an institution.
We haven’t fully investigated its possibilities.
What is Delve? / “Delve helps you discover the information that's likely to be most interesting to you right now - across Office 365. You don't have to remember the title of a document or where it's stored. Delve shows you documents no matter where they're stored in OneDrive for Business or in Sites in Office 365.”

What is Sway? / Office Sway is a presentation program that allows for the combining of text and media to create a presentable website.
