The Gallery at the Park

Allied Arts Association is a nonprofit 501(c)3 organization that believes a vibrant community

deserves a rich variety of visual arts opportunities. From our home at the gallery, we provide:

Appreciation for the arts - Changingexhibits - Art education

ELIGIBILITY

Competition is open to students in residence at a university in Washington, Oregon and Idaho who are enrolled in a visual arts MFA program. Students must have completed at least one term and have at least one term remaining in their program.

APPLICATION

Your application must include:

  1. Artist’s statement, 300 words or less.
  1. Documentation from your registrar of current status in appropriate masters program.
  1. One page CurriculumVitae.
  1. Ten to 12 images of your work on a CD, JPEG format maximum size 500 KB each, and a separate sheet identifying each image with title, size, medium, and date completed. Scholarship winner is expected toinclude in our Allied Arts exhibit, work represented with the application.Work must be acceptable to the general public.

Applications must be postmarked no later than Friday, April 1, 2016.

SELECTION

Selection will be based on artistic merit. No award will be made if the judges agree that no candidate meets appropriate standards.

NOTIFICATION OF AWARD

All applicants will be notified by April 11, 2016. Winner’s work may be hand-delivered or shipped to Allied Arts, and must arrive no later thanSaturday,April 30. Artist is responsible for all costs related to delivery and shipping.

SCHOLARSHIP SHOW & RECEPTION

Winner’s work must remain in the Scholarship Show Exhibition from May 3 through May 27, 2016. The winner should be present for the opening reception and award presentation Sunday, May 8, 2016 from 1 to 3pm.

ADMINISTRATION OF AWARD

The award will be administered through the recipient’s graduate school, and will be applied toward tuition, supplies or fees.
