10:00 to 10:30 am Energy Audits – Benefits, Options and supplier selection

Not sure how you can most cost effectively save energy? An energy audit will point you in the right direction. Phil Jones from EMS Environmental will explain what you should expect from the different types of audits that are available.

10:30 to 11:00 am Solar Energy Projects: Charlie Reichner is the President/ Owner of Heat Shed, Inc. a solar pv design and installation company. Heat Shed is an approved contractor of solar programs and has installed over 100 systems.

11:00 to 11:30 am Lighting controls to promote efficiency.

Lutron Electronics representative, Kandice Cohen, will talk about reduction of wattage, turning off lights when a room is unoccupied, and using dimming, whether through high end trim, daylight harvesting, or through manual control, to save energy.

11:30 to noon Low Interest Loans for Home Energy Improvements (heating/cooling/windows, insulation) Keystone HELP is Pennsylvania's special low rate, low payment loan program for high efficiency home improvements. Administered by AFC First Financial for work performed by Approved Keystone HELP contractors, Keystone HELP will soon have special lower rates for city of Allentown homeowners.

Noon to 12:30 Geothermal energy for heating and cooling. Alex Bodian, Principal at TeraTherm, presents the options and opportunities with ground-source geothermal energy as a proven and popular alternative to current fossil based sources of energy for residential heating & cooling. Alex will also cover its strengths and weaknesses and how the future of ground source for residential might appear.

1:00 to 1:30 pm Low Interest Loans for Businesses and Non Profits

The Sustainable Energy Fund will present how to get low interest loans for energy efficiencies in your small business or non profit.

1:30 to 2:00 pm: LEDs: Lighting the way to a brighter energy future
