~You may want to purchase an AP review book, which is a wonderful tool to review & prepare with throughout the year. This is not required, but will be helpful. Some of the ones include:

Ø  5 Steps to a 5: The best!! Very thorough!! It is available at Barnes and Noble or barnesandnoble.com where it can be shipped to either your house or the store, and amazon.com.

Ø  Barrons (it has been my experience that students do not like this particular one)

Ø  Princeton Review

Ø  Cliff Notes

~Remember, the AP Exam will be given in May 2016, so we have a lot of ground to cover before that time.~

Please note that AP Psychology is an elective, college-level course with higher student expectations than most courses taken by high school students.

Students who come into the course with a background in some of the psychological concepts discussed during the year will have an academic advantage in the class. Prior knowledge allows students to speak intelligently on concepts and topics and have the potential for more success on the AP Psychology exam in the spring.

THEREFORE, you must be studying the chapters that have been assigned to you and be prepared for a test of the major concepts upon your return to school. You will also have many follow-up quizzes as you are not allowed to forget the terminology.

REMEMBER, the AP Psychology exam is essentially a giant vocabulary test. If you do not know what you are talking about you will not do well. You must be studying constantly in order to succeed in the class as well as on the exam.

These assignments have been given to you, June 2017. You have ample time to begin all work and complete all assignments for the scheduled due dates. It is in your best interest to begin working as soon as possible. You must also be studying continuously in this course as there are constant tests and quizzes which begin the first week of school.

Remember this is Advanced Placement, meaning college level course for which you could receive college credit. Therefore, the standards of the course are held as such.

****Late work will NOT be accepted****
