1.IAW ref A, you are to be examined on your understanding of material covered during lessons.

2.The assessment for SKA 7, Service Writing and Correspondence, will take the form of an assignment, which will contribute towards 20% of your final mark in the subject.

3.Your assignment is to submit a minute (through SKA INSTR) requesting permission from the TRGO to undertake a particular project as part of your Qualified Stage training.

  1. Ref B contains guidelines for writing (part 1 chap 2) and for constructing a minute (part 2 chap 2), and ref C part 1 sect 1 and 2 detail the correct use of abbreviations.

(1)Your minute should have at least one reference and at least one annex or enclosure.

  1. More information about projects is available in ref A part 2 chap 6.

(1)You may use your discretion in determining the nature of the project.

  1. A minute marking guide is in annex A.

4.A draft of your minute must be submitted during the SKA revision lesson in period 1 on 15 Mar 11.

  1. You should make a Note of Action (NOA) on this minute, attach your draft minute and submit both together. You may retain the annex.
  1. The draft will be critiqued and returned to you.

5.Your final minute must be submitted at the commencement ofthe SKA examination in period 1 on 22 Mar 11.

  1. You should make a further Note of Action (NOA) on this minute, attach your final minute and submit both together. You may retain your critiqued draft minute.
