Foster Care Scholarship

Requirements: Foster Care Youth may be eligible for state grant funds for college. The SC Commission on Higher Education’s SC Need-based Grant program works with students with current Foster Care Youth/ Independent Living status in an effort to provide the most amount of FREE money! Requirements:You must be a high school freshman, sophomore, junior, or senior or a current or entering college or graduate school student of any level. Home schooled students are also eligible. There is no age limit. You must also be a U.S. citizen or legal resident. Complete the application form online including a 140-character message about texting while driving. 2.Applicants must be interested in performing on From the Top with Host Christopher O’Riley, and demonstrate (in order of importance): exceptional musical achievement, unmet financial need,solid academic achievement, and strength of character. Applicants must have strong musical ability and a willingness to perform on our NPR show. National Young Arts Foundation Scholarship

Requirements:The College JumpStart Scholarship is an annual, merit-based competition -- financial need is not considered -- that is open to 10th-12th graders, college students and non-traditional students. The main requirement is that you are committed to going to school and can express your goals for getting a higher education. Dr. Pepper Scholarship

Requirements:If you’re a student between the ages of 18-24, you can tell us how you’ll change the world in 350 characters or less to enter for the chance to compete to win up to $100,000 in tuition. Horatio Alger National Scholarship Program

Requirements:Be enrolled as a full time high school senior in the United States with plans to graduate in spring/summer 2018 and enter a college in the fall of 2018 in the United States. Exhibit a strong commitment to pursue and complete a bachelor’s degree. Requirements: Thirty (30) $500 scholarships will be awarded for educations expenses at a college or university. Open to high school seniors and current undergraduate college students. National Security Agency Scholarship

Stokes Educational Scholarship Program

You must major in computer science or computer/electrical engineering and meet the following requirements:

•Must be a U.S. citizen

•Must be eligible to be granted a security clearance

Ron Brown Scholar Program

Deadline: November 1st- application will be considered for the Ron Brown Scholar Program AND forwarded to a select and limited number of additional scholarship providers.

January 9th- final postmarked deadline in order to be considered for only the Ron Brown Scholar Program ONLY.

Since the postmark is what matters, there is no advantage in sending your application by overnight delivery service. If January 9th falls on a Saturday or Sunday, your application should be postmarked by the following Monday.
