BESPOKE CADET FORCE ADULT VOLUNTEER (CFAV) JOINT SERVICE ADVENTUROUS TRAINING (JSAT) COURSES 25-30 OCTOBER 2015
Introduction
1.As a result of a recent meeting, 13 May 15, between the OC CCAT and CO JSMTC a partnership agreement has been brokered for the Joint Service Mountain Training Centre (INDEFATIGABLE), (JSMTC(I)), to provide a limited number of bespoke ACF/CCF CFAV JSAT Instructor/Leader qualifications.
2.This is a unique opportunity for ACF/CCF to attend CFAV only JSAT instructor/leader qualifications delivered by JSMTC(I) instructors from their main base located on Anglesey, North Wales.
Parameters
3.The JSMTC(I) CFAV only bespoke courses is an additional pathway that has been created to attain AT qualifications. As a result these bespoke courses will be limited to 2-3 opportunities throughout the annual Training Year that de-conflict with the JSMTC(I) main effort of concentration in their programme.
4.HQ CCAT will be responsible for advertising the CFAV bespoke courses, collating the CFAV applications and vetting the applications to ensure the prospective candidates have attained the relevant pre-course standards. Applications will be required a minimum of 6 weeks prior to the course start date so they can be loaded onto the JSMTC(I) course booking system.
5.The bespoke CFAV courses will target specific JSAT instructor/leader qualifications. ACF/CCF units and personnel are to be aware that these bespoke courses are designed to attain JSAT only qualifications. HQ CCAT will remain the only organisation that delivers the much wider range of JSAT Foundation level courses as well as the broader spectrum of National Governing Body (NGB) qualifications.
6.HQ CCAT will only be responsible for the bespoke CFAV course applications and not for booking unit personnel on general JSMTC(I) courses.
7.The bespoke CFAV JSMTC(I) courses are cost neutral however the individual unit will be responsible for T&S costs.
8.There is a minimum instructor to student ratio. Be aware that if the bespoke courses are not fully loaded then JSMTC(I) will retain the option to backfill the course vacancies with Reg/Res forces personnel.
9. Once the bespoke CFAV course has been loaded onto the booking system HQ JSMTC(I) will assume administrative management of the course. HQ JSMTC(I) will be responsible for generating and distributing the course Joining Instructions.
HQ CCAT will be responsible for adding the course results to the WESTMINSTER system.
