Consider this WVC data: Of the degree and transfer-seeking students who placed in developmental English or Math in 2006, only 47% attained a degree, certificate, or transfer by 2012. How can Acceleration increase student success? Its principles include minimizing exit points, providing opportunities for early success through active learning, and using increased rigor to prepare students for transfer-level courses.
