I am highly dignified and venerated by getting an opportunity to present some of the relevant occurrences at Aliya Senior Secondary School during the academic year 2013-2014 infront of this elite class of gathering.

At the outset i would like to express my heartfelt and devout indebtedness and requital towards my management,team members either it be teaching or non teaching,students and my parents for their unwavering and unfeigned support. Thank you all so very much

The first Indian Civil Service Academy in Kasaragod Launched

The first civil service academy in Kasaragod is launched at Aliya Senior Secondary School on 18th June 2013 by the District Police Chief Sri .S Surendran IPS. The function was witnessed by more than 500 parents and was presided over by the President of Chemnad Aliya Arabic College Committee ,Dr C P Habeeb Rahman.

“The vision of the head of the institution says that the school will reach the pinnacle”, said the chief guest. A brief introduction to Indian Civil Service Examination was given by Mr Naseeb Jaleel of Yes India. A preliminary test was conducted and 60 students were selected for the first batch.Dr C P Habeeb Rehman in his address mentioned that the vision of Aliya senior Secondary School is to bring out good leaders.Manager Er C H Mohammed welcomed the gathering.Principal Dr Abdul Jaleel Perla accorded vote of thanks.

The toppers of 2013 AISSE and AISSCE honoured with Excelsior Award

The toppers of 2013 AISSE and AISSCE examination conducted by the Central Board of Examination were honoured by the Chemnad Aliya Arabic College Committee with The Excelsior Award.Dr C P Habeeb Rahman and Er C H Mohammed gave away the prizes. “This is an unforgettable moment to us and will be the best we will ever get” ,said the students

The first general body meeting

The first general body meeting of the Parent Teacher Association was held on 18th June 2013 at Aliya Arabic College auditorium. Er C H Mohammed ,General Secretary of the managing committee and manager of Aliya Senior Secondary School presided over the session.PTA President Mr K Krishnan presented his gratitude for the cooperation from the part of the parents during the year 2012-2013. The manager and the principal interacted with the parents. Instruction to the parents for the year 2013-2014 was elaborately given by the Principal.The session came to an end when the programme committee Rameeza Mohammed accorded the vote of thanks.

Students Union Council Election(SUCE):

The office bearers of Aliya Students Union Council are elected purely in the democratic way through the Students Union Council Election. The SUCE was held on 29th June 2013 at the school premises.Master Munees Mohammed K M of XII Science was elected as the School Pupil Leader.The other office bearers for the academic year are

Department for Physical and Mental Health

The Department for Physical and Mental Health was launched at Aliya Senior Secondary School on 22 July 2013. The main objective of the department is to uproot the physical and psychological problems faced by the students. The sessions for the selected students and the students are organised. The NLP practitioner Mrs Vijini from Kaizan Blitz Social Research and development handled the first session. Students from 9 to 12 were given a chance to interact with the resource person of the day.

The Aliya Students Union Council [ASUC] Inaugurated

The inaugural ceremony of the students Union Council of Aliya Senior Secondary School was held on 23 July 2013 at the college auditorium. The oath taking ceremony was lead by the Principal,Dr Abdul Jaleel Perla. The PTA President Mr Mohammed Shareef inaugurated the ceremony. Programme Committee Convenor Mrs Rameeza Mohammed welcomed the gathering and Mr Udayakumar V presented vote of thanks.

The First Student Cyber Safety Club at Aliya

The first student cyber safety club n Kasaragod was formed and inaugurated on 23rd July 2013 at Aliya Senior Secondary School.Mr Sreenath from Cyber Cell Kasaragod conducted a workshop on “ The Cyber Crimes and Rules”

Aliya School Kalotsava 2013

Aliya School Kalotsava for the academic year 2013-2014 was held in different days .The offstage items were conducted from 29th July 2013 to 1st Aug 2013. The stage items were held from 17th Aug to 19th Aug 2013.The winners of each item were selected for Kasaragod Sahodaya Kalotsava.

Independence Day Celebration:

The 67th Independence day was celebrated at the school. Our Beloved Principal Dr. Abdul; Jaleel Sir hoisted the flag and delivered the Message of the day. PTA President Mr. Mohammed Shareef reminded the students of their responsibilities toward the nation as good citizens. As a sign of honour, patriotic songs ,role plays and the circle of peace were presented by the students and the teachers.Payasam was exclusively prepared by the teachers and distributed.

The 31stAthletic Meet

The School Athletic Meet 2013-14 was held on the basis of different categories. The athletic meet for KG Students was organized on 11th Oct 2013,for 1st and 2nd on 23rd Oct 2013 and the ceremonial annual athletic meet was held on 14th Dec 2013. Mr Uthamdas, the Sub Inspector of Police,Kasaragod was the chief guest and received the salute from the athletes.Principal Dr Abdul Jaleel Perla presided over the ceremony in the presence of the PTA President and hoisted the ceremonial school flag. Master Mohammed Zuhair K A,General Captain, lead the oath ceremony.The winners are honoured with medals and certificates and were selected for the Kasaragod Sahodaya Annual Athletic Meet 2014.

Students Gateway

Annual Study tour, Heritage India tour and Picnic for the children were organised at Aliya Senior Secondary School.For the Kinder Garten kids, A Picnic was organized on 13th Nov 2013 at Bekal Fort accompanied by our Teachers. Children had refreshing movements playing and indulging in various activities.

For the students of 1st to 7th an excursion was organized on 10th Dec 2013 to Vismaya park. They all had a great time there. Teachers were one among them in enjoying. There was full support and co-operation from the parents which made it a great event.

A Heritage India tour for the students of class 8 to 12 was organised on 2nd Dec 2013 to Delhi. The long retreat of 8 days was refreshing and enjoying time for the students.Accompanied by a guide, 44 students with 5 teachers had this journey by train from Kasaragod. Our students got opportunity to visit one of the most Historic Capitals in the World, Delhi and visit to Agra Fort, Theen Murthy Bhavan , Rshtrapathi bhavan Indian Parliament, Rajghat , and various other historical important places occupied the fancy of our children and teachers alike.

Onam Celebration:

The Onam was celebrated among teaching and non -teaching staff of Aliya Senior Secondary School on 25th Sep 2013.Various competitions were organised for teaching and non teaching staff. All were served with delicious Onam Sadhya.

Sahodaya Literary Competition:

Aliya Senior Secondary School was entrusted to host District Level Sahodaya Literary Competitions on 28th Oct 2013. Around 395 students from 18 school of Kasaragod Sahodaya have participated in 51 items. The program was successfully conducted with the full hand support from the teaching and non-teaching staff along with our active volunteering students.

Sahodaya Annual Athletic Meet

Aliya Senior Secondary School was privileged to host the District Level Annual Athletic Meet of Kasaragod Sahodaya on 11th and 12th of January at Aliya Senior Secondary School premises . Nearly 1500 athletes participated in 95 events. The event was of historical importance at Aliya. St Mary’s Cherupanathady became the champions and Tagore Public School Rajapuram became the runner up.The opening ceremony was inaugurated by

New Generation Parenting Problems and Solutions

The department of parental counselling organised a class for the parents on New Generation parenting problems and solutions. Dr Madhujan,Director of Karunsai Psychotherapy Institute Trivandrum handled the class and suggested the solution for all the problems raised by the parents.

Coffee Day for Parents

A coffee day for parents was organised on June 23rd and December 4th of 2013 at Aliya Senior Secondary School.The coffee day is the new version of the former open houses where parents come,meet the teachers,enquire the progress of their children and give their feedback.

Individual Analysis Sessions for X and XII

Five individual performance analysis sessions to assess the performance of the students of X and XII by the parents were organised by the school where each parent was given 12 minutes time to meet the bench comprising of Principal and the subject teachers. Three of the sessions were meant for the plus two section and two were meant for X.

International Examinations at Aliya

As usual Aliya Senior Secondary School bagged 100% result in the board examination for the 11th consecutive year.

Apart from this many of the students attended other examinations conducted by different national and international boards.

It was for the first time that 155 of our students attended the IEPA examination conducted by the American Tesol institute. The quality of the institution was confirmed when six of our students brought ranks into our institution.Muhammed Shazil brought first rank in the A level examination,Anusree K Nair brought third rank in the C level examination,Muhsin brought first rank ,Hari Narayanan brought second rank, Ayshath Anjala brought third rank in the E level examination. Aliya was also declared as the highest number of rank holding school in the state.

57 students attended IAIS examination which is a very complex examination,conducted by the Educational Assessment Australia by The University of New South Wales,Sydney Australia.When the average score in the south region was 3.2 Aliya Senior Secondary School got the average of 3.0. Ten students out of 57 bagged international credits namely Fidha Thidil,Mohammed Famzeel K F,Nadiya Kadeeja,Fathima Aifa,Ayshath Anjala,Faheem Mohammed T,Fathimath Naeema Nasreen,Hari Narayanan.K,Kadeejath Asweera and Zainabath Ruzaima.

18 students from class 8,9 and 10 attended the green Olympiad which is the only national and international level annual environment examination organized by The Energy and Resources Institute New Delhi in collaboration with the Ministry of Environment and Forests, Government of India and United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organisation. We are proud to say that all the 18 students passed the examination with distinctions.

166 students appeared for the MTS Scholarship examination held on 4th January 2014.Harinarayanan of class 8 as usual bagged the first rank for the sixth time.Nihad Sulaiman bagged the 6th rank ,26 students obtained A Grade,23 Students obtained B Grade,36 Students obtained C Grade.

160 students appeared for the Sahodaya Acholastic Achievement Test for the first time from Aliya senior Secondary School of which 63 students got A grade,61 students got B grade and 36 students got C grade.

PROPOSAL FOR THE NEXT ACADEMIC YEAR

Aliya Senior Secondary School is planning to implement Chartered Accountancy Course [CPT-IPCC-Final] for the XII Commerce students of the institution from the academic year 2014-2015

Aliya becomes CBSE New Generation School

Central Board of secondary Education has got 15000 schools as on today in 25 countries including India..Out of these 15000 schools 40 schools were selected as the CBSE New Generation School on 13.08.2013. The letter sent by Dr Vineet Joshi IAS, Chairman of Central Board of Secondary Education directs that the tagline CBSE New Generation School must be used to have a separate identity from other schools. The institution hasbeen emphasising skill and value based education .The students of Aliya Senior Secondary School can now avail a blend of general and vocational education as well. The students are very much exposed to the real life situations as they have to be the part of the SOLACE project.

Aliya Senior Secondary School hasbeen ranked among the elite group of institution by the GYLC,Washington Dc,United States of America.Now the students of our institution can be nominated for student exchange programme to Washington Dc,New York City,Beijing,Hangzhou, Shanghai,Vienna,Prague and Berlin.They can engage with United Nations speakers,draft policy proposals,debate issues and work to pass resolutions.

Aliya has always been trying to impart education to the deprived people. In this regard to facilitate maximum accessibility the managing committee resolved to have a centre for open schooling at Aliya and Aliya Senior Secondary School gets affiliation from the National Institute of Open Schooling which is the largest open schooling system in the world.
