Code Of Ethics

The code of ethics that we have for our senior design group include expectations, distribution of work, honor of each person, communication, responsibility, conflict management and decision making as a team. If these concepts can be followed then our group will be able to work very well together.

There are many different expectations for group behavior that need to be followed. We, as a team, need to be able to communicate with one another about any aspect of the project. Working together to help out one another and able to communicate when we need help are also very important. Understanding all parts of the work that each person is doing will be key in being able to help each other and having a system to be able to criticize each other in a constructive way. Each person needs to be open to the opinions of others and bring to the table anything they think might make the project better.

To ensure that there is a balanced distribution of work; we will use a check and balance system so we can see what each person has done.There will be a better quality of work if we are able to revieweach other’s work. We will also set goals for each other, such as having one part of the project working by week four. This way, if the person feels they will not be able to finish,the group will be able to provide the needed help. Finally, we will support each other through changing schedules and anything else that might come up that would hinder the work progress.

To honor the strength of each person,we will accept input from each person;accept that people have different strengths and that we are all not good at everything.

For our group, we will have open communication. Whether it is texting or sending emails, we will make sure that each person knows what is going on and that they are up to date on everything that is happening. The better we are able to communicate, the better we will be able to get things done. We will divide the project based on the needs and strengths of team members.

All decisions made for our project will be made as a team and with input from our guide. We will discus all of the options that we have, so the best decision for the client and the project can be made. This is also where interaction with the guide will come in, keeping up with the guide and costumer’s expectations will be key to this project and to us as a team.Being able communicate openly with our guide will be important.

To make sure each person is producing the best work they can, we are going to check each others work. There is always room for improvement for each person within the groups work. We will also be open to the ideas of each member of the group and use the ideas to make our project the best it can be.

In every group there are always problems that arise.We have decided,in order to manage the problems that might come up, we will work together as a team to solve any issues. We will talk about any problems that a person might have. Working together to solve problems will help avoid repeat problems in the future.
