Business Activity / Having a gymnasium in the school premises
No. of students involved in business idea activities (including writing this Business Idea) / Boys-5 / Girls-3 / Total-8
Section B: Our School
1.  To help you understand our school business better, we will briefly describe our school (e.g. age of the students; location; environment).
Our school is a private international school located in the city of Dehiwala, a suburb of the city of Colombo SriLanka. It is a mixed school with about 800 students from various cultures. Grades vary from elementary to advanced level in 2 different curricula.
Section C: Our Resources
2.  Here is a description of the resources available at our school that we could use to start a business, including how we can use the school location as a business opportunity and how we could use our skills for our school business.
The main resources would be provided by the school. As our target market is within school our marketing cost would be low and there would be assistance from the sports department of our school. There would be some senior students who would be trained by a professional trainer and would work in shifts to ensure they do the correct workouts. As Advanced Level students our business planning lessons come in handy while making the business plan and our knowledge in accounting helped in cost management.
Section D: Generating Business Ideas
3.  a) When putting our heads together these are the five business ideas we thought of:
●  Ice cream shop in the school
●  Planting vegetables in the school and selling
●  Opening a banking unit in school
●  Starting a Gym
●  Photo booth
b) The business we would like to set up is:
And these are 3 reasons why we chose this idea:
●  There is a high demand for gym in school
●  For student who engage in sports
●  To keep student physically fit
4.  Our final Business Idea will be sustainable and have a positive impact on the environment and our community because:
It would be sustainable as we would take Junior students for assistance and it would be continued by them even after we leave. It would benefit the community as it would help the students of alethea to be physically fit and more physically healthy people would be sent out to the society.
Section E: Start-Up Capital

5.  If our business needs start-up capital, we are planning to raise it by:

We estimate our startup capital is 50,000 and we intend to raise this money by ;
Stalls

We would sell various products to the students after school hours in the school premises

Sports Tournaments
We would organize basketball tournaments in the school basketball court to raise the necessary capital. We have an idea of charging 1000/= per team of 6 people and expect to raise around 20,000
Raffle Draws
We would organize raffle draws in the school and winners would win a free membership to the gym. We would charge 50 per ticket and we expect to sell 200 tickets and raise 10,000
