Job Purpose: / Thepostholderwillbea FundraiserbasedwithintheCorporateFundraisingteamwhowillassistintheimplementationoftheCorporatestrategy.ThepostholderwillalsotakeresponsibilityforestablishingandmaintainingeffectiveandefficientsupportproceduresfortheCorporatefunction.
Main Duties/Tasks / PrincipalJobDutiesofRole
Fundraising
1.Toassist inthedeliveryofa strategicfundraising programmeforengaging corporatesupportersat alocalandregionallevel.
2.Toprovideeffectiveaccountmanagement toaportfolio of existinglocaland regionalsupporters,motivating andstewarding supportersto maximizethe fundstheyraise.
3.Togrowthecorporatefunding base,as agreedwiththeHeadof Fundraising,with a focusonsecuring newbusinessfromlocaland regionalcompanies.
4.Toassistwith therecruitmentandmanagementofcorporatevolunteerstocarryoutvariousfunctionswithinthedepartment.
5.Tosupportand attendcorporatefundraisingevents.
Research andInformationManagement
1.Toactivelyresearchand record potentialcorporatefunding opportunitiesat alocalandnationallevel and topreparebriefing documentsforteam members.
2.Tocreateandmanage apipeline offunding opportunitiesincluding accountmanagementand reporting requirements.
3.Toassistthe department inproviding informationandreportsforinternalandexternalpurposes.
4.Toassist inthe upkeepof thecorporaterecordsonthecharitydatabase.
5.To keep upto dateoncharityfundraising trends.
Communications
1. Workingwiththe HeadofCharity Marketing,toassist with devisingprintedand on-lineresourcesforcorporateengagement(e.g.leaflets,posters,newsletter,eventsmaterialsetc).
General
1.Towork withthewiderfundraisingteamtoachieveits targetsandobjectives.
2.Toundertakeotherdutiesthatmaybedesignatedfromtimetotimeby the SeniorTeamtoachievethecharity’sobjectives,including representing thedepartmenton occasions,functions andeventsasrequired.
3.Tocarryoutthedutiesandresponsibilitiesofthepostatalltimesincompliancewithallof Alder HeyCharity’s policies.
4.Torepresent thecharity atrelevant andappropriatemeetings, eventsand functionsinagreement withtheCorporateFundraising Manager
5.Someevening andweekendwork is required.

DISCLOSUREANDBARRINGSERVICECHECK

ThispostissubjecttotheRehabilitationofOffendersAct(ExceptionsOrder)1975andassuchitwillbenecessaryforasubmissionforDisclosure tobemadetothe DisclosureandBarringService(formerlyknown asCRB)to checkforany previouscriminalconvictions.

Thepostholderwilloftenhaveaccesstopersonaldataregardingpatientsandstaffthroughoutthecourseoftheiremployment.AllemployeesmustensurethattheymaintaintheconfidentialityofpersonalandsensitiveinformationinaccordancewiththeDataProtectionAct(1998)andensureanydisclosureofinformationisdonewithconsentandinformationonlyprovidedtoanindividualauthorisedtopossesstheinformation.Employeesmustnotaccessanyconfidential information held in anyform when theyhavenoproperreasontodo soin thecourseoftheirduties.Whendealing with informationofanynature,staffmustbeawareoftheirpersonalresponsibilityandundertaketoabidebythepoliciesandproceduresoftheFoundationTrustandtheirowndepartments.Incircumstanceswhereitisknownthatamemberofstaffhasinappropriatelyaccessedorcommunicatedtoinformationtoanunauthorisedperson,thiswillbeconsideredgrossmisconductandcouldleadtotheterminationofanemployee’scontractofemployment.
