Alcohol Interview/Formal Writing Assignment

This assignment is worth 115 points and must be completed in order to pass Health 10. Please pass this sheet in as a cover sheet for the assignment.

  1. You are to choose one of the following people to interview concerning their experience with Alcohol.
  • A person who has been arrested for DUI
  • A Victim of an alcohol related crash
  • An EMT, Firefighter, or health professional that has experience with alcohol related crashes and/or alcohol related emergencies (alcohol poisoning caused by binge drinking)
  • An insurance agent or actuary who sells and rates auto insurance policies
  • A counselor at a drug/alcohol rehabilitation center/program
  • In lieu of an interview you may attend an Alcoholics Anonymous, Al-Anon or Alateen meeting. You may interview someone attending the meeting (following the format found below) or simply describe the experience of attending the meeting in three well-developed paragraphs.
  • You may have an idea you would like to pursue that is not describe above. The CRHS Health Education Department is always open to extended research, all we ask is that you get your idea you would like to pursue approved in advance.
  1. Before the interview you should write a minimum of ten well-developed questions. The questions should not just elicit a yes or no answer. Please include a list of the questions in your written report.
  2. In the written report section, you should include an introductory paragraph and a concluding paragraph. The introductory paragraph should include information about the person you have chosen to interview (who did you interview, when the event happened, what happened, etc…). Your concluding paragraph should briefly explaining the interview experience and explain what you learned/gained from the assignment.
  3. The written report can either be in a paragraph format or in a question and answer bullet point format.
  4. You will briefly present your interview and experience to the class
