ALBRIGHTON SHOW JUMPING AT RODBASTON 19 FEBRUARY 2018
Thank you to all members for making the long, and in many cases very early trip to Pentridge. Luckily it was not too cold especially as proceedings did fall behind a little. It was a successful day for the Meynell and I was very proud of all our riders, all of whom gave their best, and some really found their confidence.
CLASS 1
The Meynell Robins came a very close team 2nd. Beth Foskett came individually 4th on Snowman. Beatrice Bailye-Hawkins on Spy and Daisy Fulton on Miss Dynamite made their first appearances for the Meynell, coming indivually 5th and 10th respectively. We look forward to them representing the Meynell teams in the future. Fleur Boyden on Tickle rode brilliantly on Tickle and certainly grew in confidence as the day went on. We hope she will look forward to team competing in the future.
CLASS 2A
Fleur Boyden joined the South Staffs team and the team came 4th. The Meynell Swallows of Beatrice, Daisy, Beth and Isabel Chester all went for the Meynell but were not placed
CLASS 2B
Meynell Puffins: Hatti Cameron on Roo and Fleur Boyden on Polly rode in the class above their age with Abbie Hydon on Rose, as a team. All 3 rode beautifully and were individually placed. Abbie 2nd, Fleur 6th and Hatti 8th and the team came 2nd. Really well done.
CLASS 3
Meynell Wrens: team 3rd. Grace Gadsby on Joy came indvidually 3rd, Holly Foskett on Apache came individually 7th, Niamh O’Toole on Foxy had an unlucky 4 faults and Isabel Chester rode really well too
Meynell Swifts: team 2nd. Abbie came individually 6th and Hatti, Sammi Harvey on Party and Lexi Brennan on Saffi rode great clears.
Fleur Boyden on Polly rode another brilliant round.
CLASS 4
Meynell Larks: Grace did a fabuously quick clear on Joy and came individually 3rd. The rest of the team of Sammi, Holly Foskett and Tom Chester on Jack did lovely rounds but the team was just out of the ribbons.
Meynell Swifts of Niamh and Lexi rode really well, with Katie Mc Hardy on Rio making up the team, having a very unlucky 4 faults.
CLASS 5
Meynell Swallows were represented by Tom and Emma Broughton on MIrah. Sammi on Cloud and Katie on Rio had unlucky 4 faults.
CLASS 6 AND 7
Libby Dodes was our only rider in these classes. She came individually 2nd in both and her mixed team won in both. Congratulations.
Thank you all for a lovely day.
