Job Description:

AGERpoint is seeking a Lead High Performance/Throughput Computing Architect/Engineer with a history of cutting-edge advancements in developing HPC and HTC environments. This is a unique opportunity for a well-qualified, creative candidate to produce a custom solution for AGERpoint’s massive computational requirements from the ground up. The HPC Engineer will produce an intelligent optimization system utilizing AGERpoint’s vast computational resources to generate real-time intelligence from seriously big data (multiple petabytes).In this role, you will:

·  Develop a custom cluster management solution from the ground up integrating data stored in multiple forms (e.g., Hadoop, Spark, NoSQL, and SQL)

·  Simultaneously optimize utilization of multiple resources (CPUs, GPUs, RAM, and Disk IO) from a diverse resource pool.

·  Create next-generation responsiveness to reallocate resources, on the fly, to adapt to rapidly changing priorities.

·  Enable in-depth job tracking and analytics to drive future improvements.

Desired Skills and Experience

·  Bachelor’s Degree (Master’s or PhD preferred) in Computer Science, Mathematics, hard Sciences, or related field.

·  Ability to set-up and maintain the overall (network) security of the designed HPC systems.

·  A proven track record of solving big data computational challenges by engineering novel solutions.

·  Proficient with multiple languages and architectures present in an enterprise architecture (e.g., C/C++, C#, Java, Python, Linux, and Windows).

·  Strong analytical and communication skills with an enthusiasm for teamwork and the ability to meet deadlines.
