- 2 PD days have been offered but has not been completed due to district offerings for trainings.

- Are trainings just for classroom teachers are all staff?

- When will trainings be offered? Wednesdays? Early Release Days? Optional time during planning?

- MTSS school leaders have not received all trainings from district to lead trainings at Brunson.

- One member suggested that teachers that have not been to an MTSS training need to be trained on the PEP portion of MTSS in January (1/25). Staff need to know that this MTSS training is different than the PEP training offered at the end of the 2015-2016 school year.

- All staff may receive next MTSS on 2/15 from school trainers or wait until June once all training is complete. Discussion led to training taking place in June. This meeting will discuss MTSS philosophy and implementation at Brunson.

- A4.06: Staff will create Behavior PEPs or other supports for students struggling with

behavior

- What is the best way to measure this task?

- The procedures are in place for teachers to help students through PEPs,

- an agenda should be set to discuss different topics such as data, sit plan, EL,

etc.

- A4.01: Create BELLT Agenda to discuss student data, enrichment, and intervention

- Team has set a calendar for meeting dates

- Team needs to set agenda for days to discuss student data, interventions,

Enrichment

- Data may include walk-through data, MClass Data, EOG/EOQ

- Team feels we should narrow the data to one area (possibly reading)

- EVAAS could also be a source for data to look for at-risk students (may provide

a bigger picture for school)

- What defines an “at-risk” kid? (absences, tardies, failed subjects, OSS, 504s, LEP and EC

- Data for teachers may come from teacher evaluations and walk-throughs

- Staff Development may be offered for areas that may be seen as struggling areas throughout school based on data

- if work begins with Kindergarten, we will be able to monitor our work as students continue through Brunson

- BELLT needs to create a plan to identify students who are at-risk and how we will look at the data. Team has chosen to focus on First Grade. First grade teachers will be asked about at-risk students for additional data.

- Meeting to discuss 1st grade data will be in February.

- Social-Emotional Needs may be assessed to provide additional data

- Mobility Data will also be observed.

- What should role of BELLT be with at-risk students? Should we develop a plan for students or discuss ways to support teachers to support students? Discussion led to decision to support teachers and make staff aware of students that are at-risk

- This will be discussed further in February.

- PD on student-engaged assessments on Early Release Days

- staff participated in training on CFUs (11/8), but we do not feel that the task is complete because the training was just an introduction. Staff did not complete assessment to demonstrate proficiency. More training is scheduled during other parts of the year on this topic.

- Can this be completed during PLT time? Teachers need more time to plan for the assessments, CFUs, etc. Can Sarah and Kathy schedule a PLT meeting to discuss CFUs during grade-level.

Answer: Give an example of how CREW has impacted a child in your class.

- Survey will be given on 1/18/17 during Faculty CREW meeting and BELLT will meet to discuss data on 2/8/17.

- Other tasks that need to be revisited will be discussed at our next meeting on Tuesday, December 20th.
