II. Faculty Report
  1. Faculty thanked everyone for the IPevo viewers the PTO purchased as the teacher appreciation gift.
  2. Manners Day is tomorrow and everyone is excited.

III. Treasurer’s Report (Holly)
The Balance and Budget figures were provided to the attendees as follows:
-The budget is balanced and as of today, the pending balance is $29,738..
-Holly provided an update on the PTO moving to the status of non-profit.(Attached is the
Feb. budget documentation).
-Reminder - If you need forms to turn in funds, please ask Sheri Bell.
-Pending funds going out for Manners Day, Dads and Donuts, and other school items.
IV. Fundraisers
A. Box Tops (Kim Smith)
-January Winner - Mr. Hrabric's class.
B. Giant A+ / Labels for Education (Amanda Donohue)
-Nothing new to report to date.
C.. Dinner for Dollars (Sylvia Brand)
-February 12th - Soda Jerk.
-March will be Boro.
-April will be McTeacher night
D. ZUMBA (Jodi Fox)
-Attendance has been low. Will continue for this year.
E. Walk-A-thon (Maria Shaffer and Tiffany Epoca)
-Update on purchases of Ipad Lab and Document Viewers.
-Ipads and Ipad Cart have been ordered.
-Pending Autoboxes.
-Email to go out on what has been purchased.
-Email for parents to find out who donated so they could send thank you notes.
-Spring Activity Day.
-
F. Senators Game (Kelly Williamson)
-Will be on Sunday May 5th.2pm Game time.
-5th Grade Choir will sing National Anthem.
V. Special Activities (Mary Yohn)
  1. Friendship center swim - 2/17/13 - 6:15 - 8:15 pm
  2. Movie night - 3/15/13 - Wreck in Ralph

VI. Nye on the Net (Molly McDonald)
  1. Reminder to everyone; send dates you need on calendar to Amy Atkins by the 25th of each month, for the Hummelstown Herald.
  2. Please send all dates, events, and fundraiser flyers to Molly to put on the PTO site.
  3. Add to PT Website, Events, Dinner for Dollars information, Dads and donuts pictures, Manner day pictures, and book fair information. Also, Box top charts and the PTO minutes.
  4. Note to Chairpersons - Need list of volunteers for whatever event you chair.

VII. Spirit Wear - SPRING (Beth Kurtz and Carol Hollinger)
1) Beth meeting with the With Kidz in Mind contact on the tops and shorts. Goal is for the
orders to be out and due by 3/5/13.
2) Carol and Kelly will work on magnets to send a flyer out - LD and NYE.
VIII. Old Business
REMINDERS
1) Send volunteer names to Lynn Sassaman for 2 hour pledge.
2) Any flyers that go home must be approved by Sheri Bell. And leave extra copies in her
office.
3) 2nd Hurricane make-up day is February 18th.
4) Dads and Donuts was a big success.
IX. New Business
  1. Spring Picture day is 2/20/13
  2. Academic Fair is 2/21/13
  3. HACC field trip is 2/22/12
  4. PSSA 5th grade writing week and other grades week of 3/11-3/15.
  5. PHEAA - Tony Dreon ; Early awareness program for Financial Aid for College. Tonya Dreon and Kelly Williamson set up for March 5th at 6:30pm PHEAA has decided to make this a pilot program with NYE. Child care is provided.
  6. NASA - Nye After School Activities (Tonya Dreon)
  7. Talent Show - Jodi Foster will chair.

2/17/11 _ old item / For 2010-2012 school year, it had been agreed upon that the Nye / Price would continue to provide the $100 to the High school for SR award night; as they request each year. One for a Nye Boy and one for a Nye girl.
However, this issue is being re-assessed with Mr. Winner (after he speaks with Mr. Poppy). / Mr. Winner and Kelly Williamson / Being worked on so we can set up funds.
