C. Expectations

1. Students will:

a. follow all district policies and procedures and be at every practice

b. follow all rules in Student-Parent Handbook (online)

i. ESPECIALLY-district philosophy, CVC expectations, responsibilities of students and spectators, definition of a season, paperwork requirements, OHSAA responsibilities, academic requirements, attendance, hazing, drug and alcohol violations, criminal offenses, school discipline, transportation, uniforms, injuries, vacations, awards nights, conflicting events, senior nights, weight room (BFS), parent responsibilities, booster club info, ticket prices

c. follow all program specific rules given by coaches

d. “be on time, do their best, do what’s right”

e. understand the difference between interscholastic sports

and recreation leagues

f. communicate effectively, plan ahead, place trust in the coaches, BE STUDENTS FIRST- REPRESENT RED

RAIDER PRIDE ALWAYS (even when no one is watching)

2. Coaches will:

a. be professionals at all times- comply withall district policies- specifically the Student-Parent Handbook, Athletic Handbook, and the Athletic Constitution

b. model sportsmanship, positive values, and a successful work ethic

c. maintain high and consistent expectations

d. provide a safe learning environment at all times.

e. impress upon our student-athletes the lifelong value that comes from competitive sports

3. Parents will:

a. follow the guidelines on Student-Parent Handbook

Handbook(under Resources Forms and Documents model sportsmanship and our philosophies- focus on pg. 17)

b. become familiar with OHSAA rules, policies, and procedures and the college recruiting process (load schedules accordingly)

c. support the school and coaches by making sure student athletes are on top of their school work and making every opportunity to improve count(at school and home)

d. Trust that the coaches and administration have the best interests of your child in mind at all times- pleasefollow the chain of command for disputes

e. Contact the AD office if interested in volunteering time

Chagrin Valley Conference: Harvey, Perry, Fairport, Berkshire, Cardinal, Orange, Hawken, Chagrin Falls, West Geauga, Cuyahoga Heights, Independence, Beachwood, Geneva, Kirtland, Richmond Heights, Wickliffe (16 teams 2 divisions of 8 in most sports- we are usually in the upper division due to enrollment size)
