After The Battle

Introduction

1. Are you in the battle of your life? The sufferings are not worthy to be compared…

2. Revelation 14:1-5 We just get a glimpse of the glory. We are allowed to see the Lamb of God. He is center stage. Jesus must be at the center of all we do.

I. THEY ARE RESCUED 14:1

II. THEY ARE REJOICING 14:2, 3

III. THEY ARE REDEEMED 14:4, 5

Are you in the battle of your life? The sufferings are not worthy to be compared…

I. THEY ARE RESCUED 14:1

A. They Are Protected By God

(Rev. 7:3-4)

1. Their Placement With the Lamb

*Our identification is with Him. He gives us our worth and value.

2. Their Position On Mt. Zion

*I prefer the earthly Mt. Zion during the Millennial reign.

*Satan marks his people. (13:6) Today he marks their bodies, their hearts,

their minds with the scars of sin.

*God seals His people, and labels them His own. (II Cor 1:22; Eph 1:13;

4:30) The Holy Spirit seals us and then tells Satan: “Satan Keep Out!”

B. They Are Preserved By God

*144,000 are sealed and 144,000 arrive, not 143,998.

* “Sealed unto the day of redemption”

C. They are Presented To God

*Wherever they went, the character of God was seen.

*The character of the living God became part of their life.

Are you in the battle of your life? The sufferings are not worthy to be compared…

II. THEY ARE REJOICING 14:2, 3

Revelation is full of strife, but it is filled with song! God is in control!!

A. The Participants 2

*These are rescued from the Tribulation. They have witnessed death and

destruction.

*They are home! There is worship and praise; what a contrast!!

B. The Peculiarity 3

*They are singing a new song.

*The experiences on earth prepares us for praise in the future.

*Unique Pain…Unique Praise!

*Their experiences are unique. There is one of you and there isn’t another…

*For His Purpose:

-Too often we try to be like someone else.

-“I thank God for making me…me”

-Whatever the task: Be all that you can be!

*One day we will take our last step in this wicked, pain-filled world.

C. The Purchase 3b

Who were redeemed from the earth…

*To Be Auctioned…To Be Bought…To Be Set Free!

*I went down that day singing the song of a lost sinner. I came up singing,

Amazing grace how sweet the sound that saved a wretch like me. I once was

lost but now am found was blind but now I see.

*Today, I am so limited. One day I will sing a new, new song.

Are you in the battle of your life? The sufferings are not worthy to be compared…

III. THEY ARE REDEEMED 14:4, 5

There can be no real happiness apart from true holiness.

These stand a little taller than the rest. These should be true of every child of

God:

A. Purity of Conduct 4a

*Spiritual purity.

*Freedom from contamination…nothing mixed!

B. Purity of Consecration 4b

These are those who follow the Lamb wherever He goes…

*His love is my love. His dreams are my dreams. His life is my life!

*Borden of Yale: No Reserves…No Retreat…No Regrets

*Do I follow the Lamb or do I follow just when it’s convenient?

C. Purity of Conversion 4c

These were redeemed, the 1st fruit unto God…

*1st fruit means that there is more to come.

D. Purity of Conversation 5a

And in their mouth was found no guile…

*Deceit…something was a decoy.

*No hypocrisy…No mask…

-Honest with God.

-Honest with yourself.

-Honest with others.

E. Purity of Character 5b

For they were without fault before the throne of God…

*One day we will be perfect, but not yet.

*Fault…blame…to point a finger of blame.

*We need to examine ourselves…Confess…Keep short accounts with God.
