ARBITRATION
After EVERY GAME, referees are supposed to file a Game report.
In this report the referee will identify all the players that have participated in the game, AND will report the RED and YELLOW cards issued during the game.
The GSSL Arbiter goes over EACH and EVERY game report, and based on the Referee information reported, he issues WARNINGS and SUSPENSIONS and FINES.
Each team involved in the game will receive a copy of the Arbitration report prepared by the League Arbiter for their records.
Warnings are accumulated during the season for all Regular Season and for the League Cup games.
A one game suspension is issued after the first 4 warnings accumulated by the player and when reaching 7 and 10 warnings in the season.
Suspensions have different lengths in number of games depending on the reason of the ejection during the game as reported by the referee.
Complete list and details about suspensions are listed in the GSSL Rules that are available to each team in Members Only.
Warnings and Suspensions accumulated during a season, are reset at the beginning of each new season EXCEPT for suspensions that involve an extended period of time.
FINES
Fines are issued against teams for various reasons. All these reasons and fines are listed in the GSSL Rules.
Fines are not issued for the purpose of accumulating money, but to force the teams to follow the procedures outlined by the League to have a smooth administration.
Money accumulated from fines is used to keep the League’s administrative costs as low as possible.
The amounts of Yellow and Red cards and Forfeits fines are double in the Super and Semipro division compared to all other divisions.
Fines are taken out of the Team Bond that each team must post at the beginning of each season.
Teams are suggested to review their Team Bond by logging in Members Only, and report any error or discrepancy.
