· HL7 Ambassador Program – want to re-introduce the Ambassador Program. Existed several years ago with moderate success. What to get Affiliate Chairs to represent HL7 International to governments and other organizations. There is an opportunity to re-invent or re-invigorate this program

· FHIR Roadmap is being developed – goal is to have a release every 18-24 months

· TSC Essentialism – reduce the complexity of HL7 and demystify it for outsiders; sustainable and scalable organization; focus on projects as the main avenue for product development. WG Mission and Charters and projects are not always aligned – are asking WGs to review over the next few months

10. FHIR Update (10 min)
· Connectathon – smaller than last WGM
· Would have been better to have more participants in each stream
· Are encouraging participants to host Connectathon in their organization and/or Affiliate – happy to help
· Certification will be introduced – 2 levels – Proficiency certificate – details to be finalized this week and hope to be available by next WGM and FHIR Professional Credential – much harder, need to have participated in Connectathon and implementations – hope to be introduced by the end of this year
· Release 3 (STU) has been published and Release 4 is now being worked on. Some of the content in Release 4 will be normative. Current timelines – draft ballot in Dec/Jan; mixed normative – April ballot – published by end of 2018.
· Community is asking for stability
· Implementation Guides – there is a publishing tool and infrastructure. Several countries are publishing guides using this tooling
· Registries – registry.fhir.org – for profile discovery and sharing – still being worked on – not ETA yet
· Will continue to publish the Implementation Guide but also will publish to registry.fhir.org
· US Implementation Guides are being published hl7.fhir.org/us
· Any affiliate can publish on the HL7 website – regardless of whether they have been balloted at HL7 International or not. There will be processes established but need to be defined
· Intent that the technical resources will be shared through registry.fhir.org
· FHIR Registry project – a process project understanding how the pieces fit together. First draft will be US Centric / Lloyd McKenzie or Grahame Grieve
