Advisors

This is the first page of Campus ON-LINE which contains general announcements, news, tips, and some links for general information pages. The information pages are:

  • Academic Calendar
  • Program & Curriculum
  • Course Schedule
  • Course Descriptions

Enter your instructor ID and password to login.

If you forgot your password, follow the instructors after clicking “Forgot Password” links.

You have now successfully logged in to Instructor ON-LINE.

You may enter, edit your personal and official information by clicking the “Instructor ON-LINE”.

Links on this page; “Advisor ONLINE”, “A.A (Academic Administrator) ONLINE” and “Quota ONLINE” will appear if you have the corresponding responsibility. “Advisor ONLINE” link will take you to the pages related to advisors, A.A Online links continue with pages for academic administrators, and Quota ONLINE links goes to pages for quota managers.

Don’t forget to change your password, if you haven’t already changed it.

Instructor Information

Fill in the necessary information and click “Save” button. To clear the form, click “Reset” button.

To return to Instructor ONLINE main page, click the upward arrow which is on the top left side of the page.

Advisor ONLINE

You will reach this page by clicking the “Advisor ONLINE” link on the main page.

There are three buttons each showing the list of students who are currently in three different situations and all these students are under your advisory.

The list under “In Progress” shows the students are in still in registration process but have not yet attempted to send it for your approval. You can reach a student’s specific registration information (listed below) by selecting the student from the list and clicking the relevant button at the right side of the list.

  • Compliancy Report
  • Curriculum
  • Transcript
  • Registration Status Report (RSR)

The list in this page appears when the “Waiting for Approval” button is clicked. The students in this list tried to register however, needs your approval.

To see the violations of a student from the list as well as his/her RSR, click “RSR” button.

To approve a student’s program, select the student from the list and click “Approval” button.

After clicking the “Approval” button, the above pop-up window will appear.

This window shows the current draft program of a student.

 If you will approve the program, click “Approve Program” button, otherwise click “Reject Program”.

If you reject a student’s approval demand, the student then will move to “In Progress” list.

If you approve a student’s draft program, he/she will move to “Approved” list.

You can send two types of messages to students under your advisory:

“Web Message” is the message that will appear in the “Personal Announcements” field of the “Student ONLINE”.

If you select E-mail message, Campus ONLINE will send the e-mail message to the student’s university e-mail address.

If you are an academic administrator, you can click “A.A ONLINE” link on the instructor ONLINE to reach this page. This page is very similar to Advisor ON-LINE, but has some extra facilities.

Again there exists three lists that show the students under your administration.

The students listed under “waiting for Approval” list shows the students who has various Type IV violations and they are waiting for your approval. Before approving the student, it is strongly recommended to check his/her Registration Status Report.

If you are a dean, you can click “Dean ONLINE” link on the instructor ONLINE to reach this page. This page is very similar to Advisor ON-LINE, but has some extra facilities.

Again there exists three lists that show the students under your administration.

The students listed under “waiting for Approval” list shows the students who has various Type V violations and they are waiting for your approval. Before approving the student, it is strongly recommended to check his/her Registration Status Report.

This is the Registration Status Report (RSR) of a student. First section shows student information. Second section shows the currently registered courses of a student.

You can see the weekly schedule of currently registered courses.

If the currently registered courses cause any violations, they will be listed under “Problems with currently Registered Courses” field with all the violation types cited.

This is the pop-up window that shows the curriculum of a specific student.

Academic administrations can give another chance to approved students to start over their registration.

If a student starts over his/her registration, The previously approved program will return back to a draft program. That is to say, if he/she does not get approval until the end of the current session, he/she may loose his/her quotas, held for the courses) And the student will have another chance to update his/her draft program.

The student if asked to start the registration over, as is indicated in the previous page, will be placed in “In Progress” list.

This shows that student has the right to edit his/her draft program.

This page is the hold editor for advisors. The list on the left side shows all students that are under your advisory. By choosing a student from the list, you can view/edit his/her holds using the menu on the right side. Advisors can put two types of holds:

  • Advisor hold: which prevents students to start registration. (Use this if you want a student to see you before starting course registration)
  • Approval hold: which disables the approval (if any) given by COL and redirects the student to contact you for approval process.

Don’t forget to change your password if you have not already changed it.

If you are a quota manager, you can reach this page by clicking Quota ONLINE link on the main page.

You can edit a section of a course by clicking over that course as well as monitor the quota status of all the courses that are under your control.

When you click the course you want to edit, the above pop-up window will appear.

There are three different quota types: For all students, for some departments and for specific students.

While defining quota for all students you cannot define a value less then currently captured quota.

For departments, you can use maximum/minimum values. You can even use “maximum 0” value for a specific department if you do not want any student from that department to take this course.

You can reserve a quota for a specific student for this course or you can block this course by constructing the “Student ______, must/mustn’t take this course.” phrase.

You can reach your weekly schedule any time using the “schedule” button on the left side.

This page provides you a weekly schedule of the hours for the courses you are instructing during the current semester.

This is the “Course Schedule” page where you will see a list of all the courses offered this semester.

By using one or a few of the “Department”, “Type”, “Level”, “Day” and “Instructor” selections, you can get a specific course list.

This is the page where you can see a student’s transcript.
