ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS

Sealed bids will be received at the office of the Purchasing Agent, 320 East McCarty Street, Jefferson City, Missouri 65101, until 1:30 P.M., on Tuesday, March 28, 2017. The bids will be opened and read aloud in the Council Chambers at 1:30 P.M. on that same day.

The proposed work for the project entitled Demolition at 1130 East Dunklin Street will include the furnishing of all material, labor, and equipment to demolish and properly dispose of the building and associated improvements at 1130 East Dunklin Street in Jefferson City, Missouri.

A pre-bid conference will be held at 10:00 A.M., on Thursday, March 16, 2017 in front of 1130 East Dunklin Street, Jefferson City, MO 65101. All prospective bidders are urged to attend.

Copies of the contract documents required for bidding purposes may be obtained from the Office of the Purchasing Agent, 320 East McCarty Street, Jefferson City, Missouri.

Each bid must be accompanied by a bid bond payable to the Owner for five percent of the total amount of the bid. A certified check on a solvent bank may be used in lieu of a bid bond.

The contract will require compliance with the wage and labor requirements and the payment of the minimum wages in accordance with the Schedule of Wage Rates established by the Missouri Division of Labor or Department of Labor and Industrial Relations (Federal Wage Rate), whichever is higher.

The City reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive informalities therein, to determine which is the lowest and best bid and to approve the bond.

Attention of bidders is particularly called to the requirements as to conditions of employment to be observed, Section 3-DBE, Segregated Facility, Section 109, and E.O. 11246. MBE and WBE bidders are encouraged to bid.
