Adventist Development and Relief Agency/Myanmar (ADRA Myanmar) is a Christian International Non-Government Organization with the specific purpose of community development and disaster response at the grass-root level. ADRA Myanmar projects have been active in some areas such as Delta Region, Dry Zone, Northern & Southern Shan State, Karen State, Chin State and Kachin State.

ADRA Myanmar is looking for a qualified “Office Manager” to work in its “Preparing the Irrigation Command Area Development Project” focusing on the survey, design and community consultation process for the rehabilitation and modernization of irrigation infrastructure in large parts of Mandalay, Magway and lower Sagain Regions.

This position is based in Nay Pyi Taw and responsible to carry out the following tasks;

  • To understand organizational policies and procedures
  • To prepare correspondence letter to government concern assisting the project team on request
  • To create, check and maintain personnel files for all staff ensuring all documentations complete
  • To keep updated staffs information monthly
  • Responsible for the scheduling and keep records of the usage of the office vehicles and checking the usage/mileage and taking care of the maintenance of the vehicles
  • Responsible to operate, maintain, keep a record of all office machines such as printers, fax, computers, and other office equipments & supplies; engage with serviceman when necessary
  • To promote and maintain good relationship between ADRA Myanmar and its stakeholders in the project and ensure the smooth operation of the entire project.
  • The stakeholders include but not limited to respective government officials, local authorities of the project area (division, district and township, village leaders), other NGOs and social groups, donors and communities.
  • Be responsible for Governance (Administration, Finance, Logistics, etc.)
  • Translate office/project documents and interpretation as per necessary
  • Make travel arrangements for the project staff if necessary (travel authorization, transportation, accommodation, per-diems, etc.)
  • Lead regular staff meetings
  • Supervise cleaner, security guards, drivers and manage the office building and compound security
  • Ensure office properties are well maintained
  • Provide necessary support to the project team

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Business Administration or relevant university degree
  • At least 5 years of working experience in management position
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and work under pressure/ respond to urgent requests
  • Good facilitation and communication
  • Ability to work well in the team
  • High proficiency in written and spoken English
