Advanced Quantitative Analysis with ‘R’: Hierarchical Linear Modelling

This two-day course is aimed at introducing the capabilities of the R software environment for quantitative data analysis.

Dates:15-16 March 2017

Times: 09.30-17.30 (two days)

Venue:Leeds Institute for Data Analytics (LIDA), Worsley Building, Level 11, Room 11.06 (University of Leeds)

R is a unique environment for statistical programming and quantitative data analysis; it is free, versatile and relatively straightforward despite the intricacy of syntax-based communication. Starting from basic linear regression analysis the course will set out the rationale and computational features of advanced hierarchical linear modelling (HLM) involving its value for longitudinal data analysis and categorical outcome variables.

Dr Danat Valizade is a Lecturer in Quantitative Methods in Leeds University Business School at the University of Leeds

Dr Albert Varela is a Lecturer in Quantitative Methods in the School of Sociology and Social Policy at the University of Leeds
