Objectives of the “live” workshop is to promote the critical review of nursing research articles and research concepts needed to critically read and use research in nursing practice. (4.5 contact hours)

Before attending this workshop, you MUST complete modules one through four located online at the CEN website and print and bring certificate of completion to workshop. (2 contact hours)

Pre workshop objectives: 1) Describe why research is important in the nursing profession; 2) Distinguish statements of purpose and research question for quantitative and qualitative studies; 3) Describe purposes of a research literature review; 4) Distinguish the different variable and the population within select research questions.

Accreditation:

Charleston Area Medical Center Health Education and Research Institute is an approved provider of continuing nursing education by West Virginia Nurses Association, an accredited approver by the American Nurses Credentialing Center's Commission on Accreditation. This program has been approved for 6.5 contact hours (PO15-08-07724).
