Advanced Cabinet systems Kicks off the 2013 acs olympics

June 25, 2013

Marion, Indiana—Advanced Cabinet Systems (ACS), a manufacturer of Division 12 Plastic Laminate Casework and Retail Store Fixtures, is introducing the ACS Olympics in an effort to promote teamwork and competition within the organization. The overall goals of the competition are to have fun, and further develop the culture at ACS. The first ACS Olympics will be taking place at ACS the week of June 24th.

The ACS Olympics will consist of both individual and team challenges. Overall, seven teams will be participating in the competition. The competition will include spraying adhesives, drilling cabinet holes, filing laminate, cutting materials, cabinet assembly, and other surprises to be unveiled at the competition. “We’re excited to have a competition that is tailored to what our team works on every day. Each employee will get a chance to show off what they do in a spirit of competition and camaraderie” says Bruce McLenithan, Vice President of Operations. Bruce goes on to say that he is excited to see the unique talents of each individual. “Employees will be able to learn from each other, and we may be able to LEAN some of our processes” says Bruce.
