conditions of hire – outdoor

  1. All bookings at the Centre must be made by persons over the age of eighteen years old.
  2. Any bookings made in the name of an affiliated club must be made by an official person e.g. Club Secretary.
  3. All persons/organisation must complete an application form and return it completed in full to the Centre.
  4. Amendments to the application form can only be made in writing and by the person making/made the booking.
  5. The submission of an application form does not constitute that a booking has been made. Confirmation of the booking will be given when the invoice is issued.
  6. All bookings must be paid one (1) month in advance of use. Any bookings not paid for will result in the facility being withdrawn.
  7. Payments made to the Centre must be transacted at Reception during opening times. All cheques must be made payable to ‘London Borough of Haringey’. A receipt will be given for payment made. Postal cheques must arrive no later than three (3) weeks before the booking commencement date. Teams that book for ten (10) consecutive sessions or more and pay in advance will be exempt from VAT. Occasional bookings must be paid for at the time of booking.
  8. Bookings may be cancelled by the originator of the booking in writing, giving at least seven (7) days notice. Less than seven (7) days notice the booking charge will not be refunded. Occasional bookings must give at least forty eight (48) hours notice.
  9. Credits will only be given in the event the Centre Management cancels a booking for bad weather/disrepair.
  10. The White Hart Lance Community Sport Centre Management reserves the right to cancel any bookings made. The Management’s decision is final.
  11. Any hirer must be permitted to use ancillary facility i.e. toilets, vending etc.
  12. All litter must be cleared from site before vacating.
  13. Boots etc. may be cleaned in the sink outside of the Old Pavilion.
  14. The Centre staff will monitor your use of the facility.
  15. All bookings must be kept to the time allocated and no sub-letting is allowed.
  16. Any accidents, near misses or incidents which occur during the booking must be reported to a member of staff. Any request for Emergency Services must be made by the Duty Officer.
  17. Any defect identified or damage caused during the course of your booking must be brought to the attention of the Duty Officer.
  18. Clubs must report to Reception in the Main Stand before commencing use of the facility.
  19. The security of items brought on site is the responsibility of the individuals/organisation concern. Haringey Council are not responsible for any personal items left on site. Valuable items must not be left in changing rooms.
  20. Centre rules and code of conduct must be observed at all times.
  21. Any hires’ experiencing problems with other hirers must report to the Duty Officer immediately.
  22. Any equipment required for an Athletics/Football booking must be made at the time of booking on the booking form.
  23. All equipment must be signed in and out by an official on every occasion.
  24. Additional equipment requirements are available; an official must complete an Equipment Deposit Sheet and pay a deposit.
