SPECIAL RULES AND REGULATIONS

TheMarburg & District A.& I. Association Inc.’s Annual Show will be held under the Rules and Regulations of the Queensland Chamber of Agricultural Societies (Q.C.A.S).

All EXHIBITORS ATTENDING THE SHOW ARE TO PAY ADMISSION FEES. The Marburg & District A.& I. Association Inc. assumes no responsibility for injury or damage to the person, property or stock of any owner, contestant, exhibitor or assistant. Each participant, by the act of his/her entry, waives all claim against the Association for injuries he/she or his/her property may sustain or that his/her animal may cause. All persons enter the Show ring at their own risk. Small children and persons who, by their actions, present a risk to themselves or others will be directed, by the Stewards, to leave the Ring. Baby’s prams/ strollers are not allowed to enter the Show ring.

To be eligible to lead or ride on an animal, children under the age of 11 years must be accompanied by an adult.

WORKPLACE HEALTH AND SAFETY ACT 1995 AND ELECTRICAL SAFETY ACT 2002- Any exhibitors or persons attending the Show must ensure they comply with the provisions of these Acts. Any exhibitors intending to bring electrical equipment to the showgrounds will be required to ensure that such equipment is fitted with earth leakage circuit breakers and that all electrical leads, tools and appliances have been inspected and tagged by a licensed electrical contractor and have a current tag attached. This is essential for the safety of all exhibitors and the general public. This is a requirement under the provisions of the Electrical Safety Act 2002 and Marburg District Agricultural and Industrial Association Inc. The Act imposes very severe penalties in the event of non-compliance with its provisions. Any exhibitors who do not comply will not be allowed to exhibit at the Marburg showgrounds. Exhibitors should check all electrical equipment and leads before coming to the showgrounds to avoid the occurrence of any difficulties. If necessary, a certified electrician will be on the grounds to carry out an inspection and tagging, however, there will be a charge for this service.

All animal handlers are required to wear protective footwear.

All Pavilion exhibits must be in the hands of the Stewards as directed under the heading of each section and must not be removed before 5:00 pm the last day of the show. All persons exhibiting must accept the decision of the Judges appointed by the committee, and on all protests the decision of the committee shall be final without appeal, provided that the exhibitor shall have the right of appealing against disqualification imposed as provided for in the Constitution of the Queensland Chamber of Agricultural Societies. No protest will be considered unless it is presented to the Secretary, in writing with the PROTEST FEE $50.00, which may be forfeited should the committee consider the protest frivolous. Any person or persons interfering with a Judge, or who shall be guilty of unseemly conduct to a Judge or Steward or Official of the Association, or any exhibitors refusing in any way to carry out the instructions of a Steward, shall be liable, at the discretion of the Committee, to a penalty not exceeding $50.00, or otherwise, may be disqualified from exhibiting for any period, or may be expelled from the grounds, together with his/her or their exhibits. The Association reserves the right to alter the time or order of an event. The Association the right to refuse any nomination by any exhibitor without reason. The Committee reserves the right to cancel or reduce the prize money through lack of competition. Patrons must park vehicles as directed by Stewards. All ring events will be broadcasted. All events will be run under the Rules, By-laws and Regulations of the Queensland Chamber of Agricultural Societies. Any exhibit entered in the wrong class must be transferred to the right class at the discretion of the Judge. Stallions are NOT permitted to compete in Hack classes unless specified. A Judge shall not have any information prior to or during judging at an agricultural Show other than what is provided by the Marburg Show Association only.

All prizes awarded at the Show must be collected on the day or as soon as possible in cases where there is a protest. All prizes not collected will be forfeited to the Association.

Prize winners of over $50.00- (Forms available at show secretary’s office) G.S.T registered prize winners claim G.S.T. on prize money by issuing a Tax Invoice including A.B.N or Hobbylists form must be filled in OR 48.5% will be withheld. A copy of these rules may be seen at the secretary’s office.

All Show Space Holders Must Have OWN PUBLIC LIABILITY INSURANCE.

ELIGIBILITY OF EXHIBITS:

Exhibits can be registered with any Miniature Goat Organisation in Australia and Registration Certificates will be viewed on the day of exhibiting.

All exhibits must be a minimum of a Generation 1 (Gen 1)

A Generation 1 (Gen 1)must have two registered parents over the age of 3 years which have had their 3-year-old height recorded, and their heights MUST NOT exceed the maximum height requirement for a Foundation animal.

Horns:A goat with horns will initially be able to be shown with the AABMGS Inc. as long as the goat is not unruly or considered a danger to their exhibitors or members of the public. The allowance of horned goats will be phased out and all animals born during or after 2014 must be disbudded for show eligibility.

As well as any other organisation which is involved in hosting or providing a venue for the event, against all claims ,suits or legal action, which may be bought forward in respect of any injury or other loss sustained brought forward in respect of any injury or other loss sustained by any person , personal property or exhibits under my/our care in the course of exhibiting and participating at the event .

The AABMGS Inc. or any of its representatives will not under any circumstances be held responsible or liable for any accident or loss or damage to any personal property or exhibits at the event.

Any complaints or disputes are to be directed to the Show Manager who will attempt to rectify any issues’ if they are deemed necessary.

The show Manager is not required to rectify or address all complaints on the day of the event if they feel they need to consult with the AABMGS Inc. Management Committee to make personal decision.
