Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications
Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications (hereafter BUPT) is a key national university directly administered by the Ministry of Education of P. R. China. In the last 50 years, BUPT has developed into a multidisciplinary university distinguished itself by information and communication technology, with engineering as its main body and combination of Engineering, Management, Humanities and Science. It's the important training base for talents of information and communication technology. In the national examination and evaluation of key subjects in 2001, four second-class subjects of BUPT ranked the first place in the whole country. In the overall level evaluation of national first-class subjects, the two first-class subjects “Electron Science and Technique” and “Information and Communication Engineering” headed the list of successful candidates. In recent years, the employment rate of BUPT graduates is always around 98%.Most of BUPT graduates can find satisfactory jobs as long as they are qualified graduates from BUPT .
In recent years, BUPT has cultivated over 2,000 foreign students in the fields of communications and Chinese language. In recent 10 years, scholars of BUPT have gone abroad over 1300 times as visiting scholars of the long-term and short-term, and around 10,000 foreign experts have been invited to BUPT for visiting and giving lectures.
Ⅰ.Length of Schooling Limitations
Graduate students may study at Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications for two to three years. Undergraduates may study for four years, and generally visiting students and research scholars may stay for half a year to one.

Ⅴ.Entrance Requirements
• The communicating language of Senior advanced student and Research Scholar is Chinese or English.
• The teaching language for undergraduates is Chinese. The applicant must gain the certificate of HSK Level C.
• The teaching language for master students is Chinese. The communication ability of applicant must exceed HSK Level C. Each applicant must provide at least two letters of recommendations from experts whose professional title is above associate professor.
• The teaching language for doctoral students is Chinese. The communication ability of applicant must exceed HSK Level C. Each applicant must provide at least two letters of recommendations from experts whose professional title is above professor.
Additional explanation:
Applicants, who do not meet the above requirements, may be considered on an individual basis. They may be admitted as non-degree seeking students for one academic year. Those who pass the examinations held one year later will be automatically accepted as regular students. Those who fail will return to their home country as scholar study students after completing some courses in a program.
Ⅵ. Application Materials
The following documents are needed for all applicants
• A completed Application Form for International Students ;
2. Applicants' final academic credentials, academic degree credentials and high school/college transcripts (photocopies or notarized English Version);
3. Letters of Recommendation(only for Master & Doctoral Dgree Applicants);
4. The completed Physical Examination Record for Foreigners after an actual physical examination and a report of serum test;
5. Report Card of HSK.
Ⅶ.Application Process
1. Ask for the BUPT Admission Brochure for International Students , the BUPT Application Form for International Students and the Physical Examination Record for Foreigners and fill them in;
2. Mail the above two forms and other application materials to BUPT;
3. All application materials will be evaluated by the university. Once the application for admission is endorsed, BUPT will grant the BUPT Admission Notice and the Application Form for Students from Overseas (JW 202 Form for short) and mail the two documents to the successful applicant;
4. The applicant goes in person to Chinese Embassy in his own country to apply for a (X) visa to study in China with the following materials: JW 202 Form, BUPT Admission Notice, Physical Examination Record for Foreigners and the original report of serum test;
5. After going through the above application procedures, the applicant should enroll in BUPT within the time notified in the BUPT Admission Notice .

Every foreign student in BUPT must have insurance. The insurance of Ping An Insurance Company is the solo insurance plan for the foreign students in China which is recommended by the Ministry of Education of the People's Republic of China
