Administering an Online Test

  • BEFORE TESTING (prior to coming to test)
  • Print Student User Names/Passwords
  • Log in to Point
  • Go to the Assessment Admin tab at the top and click “print”
  • Click on the test you are administering
  • In the left hand column, click on View Usernames
  • Choose your name.
  • Check the box on the left hand column that says “Include Sections not assigned to this test”
  • Choose the section for the SUBJECT you are taking. (DO NOT CHOOSE HOMEROOM).
  • Scroll down and click “Print User Names”.
  • These user names and passwords will work for ALL tests this year, but the passcode printed on them will ONLY work for this current test.
  • Find your passcode for the test
  • Log in to Point
  • Go to the Assessment Admin tab at the top and click “Find a Test”
  • Click on the test you are administering
  • In the top left hand corner, under the title of the test, you will see the online passcode.
  • Write this down to take with you and post in the computer lab.
  • ADMINISTERING THE TEST
  • Write the test passcode on the board for students.
  • Student Log In Directions
  • Go to POINT website.
  • Make sure the dropdown menu says “Schoolnet Account”, NOT Henry County E-mail.
  • Have students enter their usernames and passwords.
  • On the left, have students enter the online passcode (case sensitive).
  • On the left under “Take a Test” look at the section listed under “My Class”. If it is not the correct subject for the test (For example, if it is your art section for a math test you are taking or your science section for a social studies test you are taking), have the students click where it says “If this is the wrong class, click here”.
  • Choose the correct subject in the dropdown menu. (Math tests need to be taken under math, ELA under Language Arts, etc. (DO NOT CHOOSE HOMEROOM).
  • Click “start test”.

  • Make sure students know they may need to scroll down to see the entirety of a reading passage or a question’s answer choices.
  • Have students stop on the “Test Summary” page for you to check before they submit their test. This way you can check to make sure they have answered all questions.
