ADAPTIVE SKIING & SNOWBOARDING
Disability Snowsport UK (‘DSUK’) is a nationwide registered charity, which provides adaptive skiing and snowboarding for individuals with any disability, including physical, sensory and learning difficulties, including wheelchair users. As well as ‘standup’ skiing and boarding, we have specialist ski equipment including several forms of sitski, plus supporting riggers and other aids, to enable our trained specialist instructors to cater for all types of disability. For nearly 30 years we have applied exceptional know-how and adaptability to enable those with a disability to experience the joy of snowsports alongside the able-bodied. We provide exciting and life enhancing activities for individuals or groups who may require special instruction, support or equipment.
DSUK snowsport schools are now based at regional snow centre hubs, being Hemel Hempstead, Tamworth, Manchester and Glasgow/ Edinburgh.
Lessons: A Private lesson is for any stand up skier, boarder or sit down skier taught one-to-one by our instructors, inclusive of all equipment and winter clothing. A Group lesson may work if you are a disability or social group or just a group of friends, who want to learn together. Call us for more information. Please be aware that group lessons can only accommodate stand up skiers or boarders and participants need to be of a similar skiing/ boarding standard.
Private Lessons Pricing (Hemel): The cost varies depending on peak/ low time from £57-£67 for a one hour lesson for a non member of DSUK. If you are a member of DSUK then the lesson price is from £47--£57 for a one hour lesson. For a joint lesson for two skiers with an instructor the cost is between £77--£87 in total for non members of DSUK, or £67-£77 for members. DSUK Membership starts from £21 per annum (see website for full information). Group membership is also available. Subsidies may often be available to assist. Prices include all equipment. Clothing is available at £3 per person.

Group Lessons Pricing
Special prices apply for group sessions, which are only available for standing skiers or boarders. We can also teach family groups, which can include able bodied siblings or other family members.
