Activities since last FC
Local / Of special note, JEF Greece is fostering its relations with the National Youth Council by actively participating in all its activities and events and taking initiatives on the European/International work part
· Extensive programme of celebrations for the 9th May with information actions/ events taking place in Athens, Komotini and Thessaloniki.
· Electorate Congress and Conference on the Federalist Visions for the Future of Europe, Athens – 15-16 April 2006
· May 2006. Day conference in Athens entitled “EUROPE_VISION” with 4 different panels and with the participation of members of the European Parliament, Journalists, NGO representatives and professors from Universities discussing with the public the future of the E.U. after the negative impact of the referendums. Parallel media conference also took place.
· March 2006. Day Conference ''Forum of Citizens: Dialogue with the citizens''. Big event in the framework of Plan D Activities discussing the future of Europe and focusing on further enlargement'' coorganised by JEF Komotini, the office of the European Paliament in Greece, the representation of the Commission in Greece, the Europe Direct Office and Democritus University of Thrace.
· May 2006. InteregionalYouth Meeting: Youngsters discuss, communicate and suggest for the future of Europe, coorganised by JEF Komotini, the Representation of the Commission in Greece, the General Secretariat of Youth and the Europe-Direct Komotini.
· September 2006. New Members recruitement stands/info events in Athens, Heraklion, Thessaloniki and Komotini.
International / · ORGANIZATION OF THE INTERNATIONAL SEMINAR AND FEDERAL COMMITTEE IN ATHENS, OCTOBER 2006!
· Participation in International Youth Exchange on European Legislation on the Environment, with focus on GMO in Murmansk, Russia (July 2006).
· Members participation in international seminars & events in Brussels (May 05), Prague (June 06), Ljubljana (July 06), United (August 06), Ventotene (September 06).
· Cooperation with JEF Latvia, JEF Bulgaria and JEF Catalunya on the International Youth Exhange “ Fantastic Four – Catching Communication”.
· JEF Greece continued working with the National Youth Council on lobbying for the increase of the ‘Youth in Action’ funds by pressing and mailing not only Greek Authorities but also counter organizations on a European level.

· National Federal Committee Meeting in Komotini, December 2006.
· Establishment and re activation of the JEF Section in Heraklion Crete.
· Organization of the annual Simulation of the European Council of Ministers in Komotini, by JEF Komotini, ELSA Komotini and Europe Direct Office of Komotini.
· “ European Party” Organized in Conjunction with AEGEE Athens and ELSA Greece, first semester 2006.
· JED Greece Training Days, Crete in Spring 2006
· Continuation of the monthly lectures given by an expert on European issues in Athens (professor, consultant etc) followed by a discussion. A working group will analyze this debate as a follow up in an effort to focus on the political training of JEF members
· Finalize the production of a hip & groovy TV Spot on JEF to be presented in main Greek TV stations.
· Weekly meetings @ “ Café JEF” with JEFers and a variety of EU experts in Athens, Heraklion, Komotini and Thessaloniki
International / · Organize a YOUTH programme financed international political training seminar in summer 2007 in Crete.
· Participation and organizational cooperation where requested in the United 07 Event in Oslo, the European Citizenship Seminar in Malta, the Seminar/FC in Berlin, the JEF Europe Training Days and other events/seminars where JEF GR is a partner.
