Activity #10 – Crosscutting Concepts

1.  Use the charts from Appendix G that follow to study the crosscutting concepts below. Note the progression in the development of conceptual understanding throughout the grade levels.

2.  Each person at the table should select one or more crosscutting concept, so that all concepts are studied. Study the progression of the concept throughout the grade levels.

3.  To what degree is this concept currently taught to deep levels of understanding in your classroom as expected in the progression?

4.  Share the concepts and your reflections among your table partners.
