“The real problem is that we are not promoting our services sufficiently. More and more people are buying cheap disposable tin openers these days, and we need a high-profile campaign to convince people that their historic tin openers are worth preserving. We need £500,000.”

Your job role / UNIONS AND EMPLOYEE REPRESENTATIVES say:
“The real problem is one of morale. Tin opener professionals have very specialised skills, but they are unhappy because they are paid less than comparable professions, such as cheese-grater re-conditioners. If staff were paid more, they would work harder and the productivity of the company would go up. So paying staff more will in the long run make the company money. In addition, junior staff are leaving because they are not being trained to do the more complex jobs. A better training programme would prevent this and safe the company money having to recruit and train new staff. This year we need £500,000 to cover all this.”

Your job role / RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT are saying:
“The future is bright for tin opener servicing and repair. There are new ways of repairing and servicing tin openers which are not only cheaper, but also better than anything we’ve seen before. E-tin-openers are just around the bend. We can exploit these new technologies to stay ahead of the competition, but we need £750,000.”
