25.06.2015 / Ms. B. Zulaiha, Head & Ms. C. Rosy, Assistant Professor of English along with three students of II BA English (Division- II) visited Nadar Middle Government School and finalized the name list of the students for the CSS.

01.07.15 / The English department has collaborated with the Computer Science department for the CSS Extension work. Ms. B. Zulaiha, Head & Ms. C. Rosy Assistant Professor of English along with three students of II BA English (Division II) and Ms. A. FathimaHaleema, Asst. Prof of Computer Science with two students from II B Sc IT (Division I) went to Ramnad to purchase stationery and eatables for the school students who are benefitted through CSS.
4.07.15 / Spoken English classes started for all the first year UG students.

Prof of English and 11 students from II MA English attended a UGC sponsored National Seminar on Fourth World Literature: The Voice of the Marginalized at MannarThirumalaiNaicker College, Madurai which was jointly organized by the department of English, MannarThirumalaiNaicker College and the Postgraduate and Research Department of English, The American College, Madurai. These students presented their papers in this national seminar.

Seven (Mr. Jeff Gere, Mr. Craig Jenkins, Mr. Antonio Rocha, Ms. JeevaRaghunath, Mr. Randel McGee, Ms. Sheila Wee and Ms. Diane Ferlatte) from different countries were the resource persons.

Jeyachitra, Assistant Professors of English attended a one day national workshop on “Integration of LSRW to Enhance Communication Skills” at AyyaNadarJanakiAmmal College, Sivakasi. Dr. John Sekar, Head, Department of English, The American College and Mr. Allen, Head, Learning and Development, Hyderabad were the resource persons.
