Dear parents and carers,
Welcome back, it was lovely to see all our pupils ready for the new term yesterday. We now have 41 pupils on roll and this is the strongest start to term numbers we have had for quite a while. I wish to send massive congratulations to out Art club, Janet and the other leaders whose wheelbarrow on the Peter Rabbit theme scooped third prize at the Royal Welsh Show.
There have been no major changes in school over the holiday but we are now having our morning break from 10.30 – 10.45 to allow more time in the morning for an extra lesson to be taught. The length of the school day and the amount of playtime have not altered.

Uniform
We are putting an order in to Performance clothing next Tuesday so if you wish to order anything we will be sending out order forms this week . You can still purchase the uniform from Tesco online as well it is just we understand some items are out of stock with Tesco at the moment.
Swimming
Swimming stars back in the 12th of September, next Tuesday so please send kits and a towel with the pupils, We are attaching a goggles permission slip for you to complete should you wish your child to wear them whilst swimming. Cost towards the bus will be £2.00.
Clubs
Clubs start back next week, Please note the following changes.
Monday…General school club with Mr HT ( No Charge)
Tuesday…Art Club ( £2.00 charge)
Wednesday…Dance ( £2.50 charge)
Thursday….Messy church club with Reverend Rachel ( No Charge)
Parent Pay
Over the summer we have installed the equipment for the cashless payment system in school. It will be going live on September 15th and we will be cashless from then on.
In the morning Powys will be having a member of the team in the canteen to answer any questions you may have, please get in touch with any queries and we will hopefully be able to sort them out for a smooth transition.
Kitchen
Powys have confirmed that at present we will be maintaining the servery system for our school meals as reinstating the kitchen and our own cook is still not cost effective. We will continue to lobby on this matter and keep you informed.
Summer of Play
Play Rangers came on Wednesdays over the holidays and lots of people had lots of fun, we wish to thank them for their time and look forward to future events.

permission for him/her to wear swimming goggles for swimming lessons.
I confirm that I have shown him / her the correct way to put on and remove the goggles. I also confirm that the goggles are in good condition and are not made of glass or breakable plastic and conform to current safety standards. I am aware that that there have been a number of accidents nationally as a result of swimmers wearing swimming goggles where injury has resulted.
