practical sessions as follows.

THEORY / PRACTICAL
This workshop will look at:
  • Why we log soil types and introduction to soil texture and the NEPM 2013.
  • Introduction to Australian Standard AS 1726 and Unified Soil Classification System (USCS).
  • Understanding geological environment prior to going to site.
  • How soil laboratory testing can assist with soil logging and support more thorough understanding of subsurface for hydrogeological and health risk assessments.
/ This workshop will look at:
  • Overview of soil laboratory testing equipment for soil classification.
  • Practical soil logging of several common soil types including fill.
  • Guidance on distinguishing different soil types
  • Review of soil logging results with participants.

**Please note that attendee numbers will be limited to 20. A second workshop may be held on 17 October from 2-5pm if registrations exceed capacity.

  • If Early-Bird payment is not received by 29 August 2014 then the Standard fee will apply.
  • Payment must be received in full before workshop commences otherwise a $100 late payment fee will be invoiced.
  • Fees are GST exclusive as ACLCA is not registered for GST.
  • Receipt of Registration does not guarantee acceptance of registration as it is dependent on the number of bookings received. Acknowledgement of successful registration will be sent via email.
  • No refunds or cancellations will be offered, however a substitute will be accepted.
  • A tax invoice will be issued once the registration has been processed.
