Tender Schedule containing terms and conditions for the tenders called for the printing andsupply of Single Answer Booklets for conducting of University Examinations of CDE

The work for which tenders are called for pertains to the printing and supply of single Answer booklets, for conducting University examinations of UG/ PG / Professional courses offered by CDE, ANU. The work consists of the following components:

  1. Printing and supply of Single Answer booklets on A4 size with 60 GSM Cream wove ‘A’ Grade paper, Maplitho grade quality with water mark, as detailed below:

A: Printing and supply of stitched Single Answer booklets with 36 pages, all pages containing 25 rules on each page with page Nos, on A4 size with 60 GSM Cream wove,A grade paper Maplitho grade quality with water mark.Initially the quantity required would be 3,00,000 Answer booklets.

B:Printing and supply of stitched single Answer booklets with 44 pages, all pages containing white papers along with the margin lines with page Nos. on A4 size with 60 GSM Cream wove, A grade paper Maplitho grade quality with water mark. Initiallythe quantity required would be 5, 25, 000 Answer booklets.

  1. University emblem should be printed in the centre of every page of the Answer Booklets.
  1. Tenders are invited with branded watermark paper from Delta / Andhra Unit CP
  1. Bills issued by the paper manufacturers / distributor for the paper purchase should be submitted along with the first bill submitted to the University as evidence of printing of booklets on the brand / quality of paper prescribed by the University.
  1. In case of supply with distribution of answer booklets to examination centres in Andhra Pradesh, an abstract of Answer booklets distributed duly signed by the Authorized signatory of the supplying firm and certified by the Joint Registrar (Examinations) along with acknowledgement slips / letters from the examination centres regarding the delivery of examination booklets should be enclosed to the bill.
  1. The Tenderer should submit the tender form in a sealed cover addressed to the Registrar,Acharya Nagarjuna University along with S.B.I D.D for Rs. 1,00,000/- (Rupees One LakhOnly) towards EMD in favour of the Registrar, Acharya Nagarjuna University payable at the State Bank of India, ANU Campus for the work of printing and supply of Answer booklets for conduct of University examinations. Interest will not be paid on EMDamounts under any circumstances.
  1. The rates should be quoted inclusive of all taxes including (i)transport to CDE office ANU and taking into account that University has exemption from Central Excise Duty from DSIR, New Delhi and concession in CSTagainst Form ‘D’ and (ii) distribution of answer booklets to examination centres in Andhra Pradesh.
  2. The tenders will be received upto 2.00 pm on21-02-2011(sealed tenders must be put in the tender box placed in the Registrar’s room) and will be opened at 3.00 pm on the same day in the presence of tenderers or their authorized representatives who are presentat that time.Tenders sent by post will not be accepted.
  1. The Tenderer should furnish the following information along with tender, failing which the tender is liable to be rejected.

  1. The successful tenderer has to supply the required material at the lowest approved rates as per the samples submitted within the prescribed date and they should be delivered in the godown of the Centre for Distance Education at Acharya Nagarjuna University or distributed to examination centres in Andhra Pradesh, as the case may be.
  1. The material for the two items A&B shown in the Tender Schedule should be printed on A4 Size with 60 GSM cream wove, A grade paper Maplitho grade quality paper of Andhra Paper – Unit - CP or Delta Paper brand with water mark on each sheet. Any minute change of paper for printing the material will not be accepted and such stocks will be rejected. The paper that is being used should not be of blotting nature.
  1. The successful tender has to undertake the work and complete the same within the period specified.
  1. Since it is confidential and sensitive work, all the work should be done carefully.
  1. The tenderer must be a firm having good experience in this field and they must have already carried out similar work at least for two Government/Educational Institutions in the state for which documentary evidence must be submitted.
  1. The tenderer shall undertake the work in a most confidential manner and not to indulge in any kind of malpractice by himself or by his employees for which the tenderer shall be held responsible. In the even of any such incident, the University shall have the power to impound EMD, in addition to taking necessary civil and criminal action as per law.
  1. Samples of the Answer Booklet and other items must be enclosed with the tender failing which the tender is liable to be rejected.
  1. The tenderer should supply half the quantity of stationery on or before 20-03-2011 and the remaining half quantity on or before 15-04-2011. If the tenderer fails to supply the material within the prescribed period the orders given will stand cancelled and EMD paid will be forfeited.
  1. The mode of packing of the material and numbering has to be followed according to the direction of the University which will be intimated in the work order.
  1. In case of any major deficiency of service on the part of the successful tenderer, the University reserves the right to forfeit the EMD and credit the amount to University Account or impose such penalty as it may think fit or cancel the supply order or reject the supply of material.
  1. The rates approved shall be valid for a period of Two years from the date of the order.
  1. The successful tenderer will sign an agreement with the Registrar of the University on Rs.100/- non-judicial stamp paper with all relevant terms and conditions incorporated therein and it shall be binding on both the parties.
  1. The successful tenderer shall supply any additional quantities required after the first order also at the same quantity rates until two years from the date of the first supply order.
  1. Examination Centres of CDE, ANU for the purpose of distribution of Singe Answer booklets : CDE examinations will be conducted in all the districts in Andhra Pradesh and the places of examinations are given below with number of centers in the same place are given in brackets.:

SHORT TENDER NOTICE

Sealed Tenders are invited from the established firms, which are registered under VAT, for supply of Single Answer Booklets for University examinations of C.D.E., A.N.U. All particulars are given in the Tender Schedule and are also available at for information. The Tender Schedule can be had from the office of the Director, Centre for Distance Education, Acharya Nagarjuna University on all working days from 14-02-2011. The cost of the Tender Schedule is Rs.500/- + 12.5% VAT = Rs.563.00 if collected in person and Rs.619.00, if received by post. The amount shall be paid by way of Demand Draft in favour of Director, Centre for Distance Education, Acharya Nagarjuna University.

The sealed tenders shall be dropped in the tender box located in the office of the Registrar, Acharya Nagarjuna University, Nagarjuna Nagar – 522 510 on or before 2.00 p.m on21-02-2011. Tenders sent by post will not be accepted. Tenders will be opened at 3.00 p.m on 21-02-2011.
